Typically you can't take silver accounts online with a gold, just guest accounts. As far as I know, this is only to prevent the silvers from gaining achievements. I could be mistaken about that.

Silvers can gain achievements and as far as I have heard it explained you can have guests play in the crowd but that it is all they are not eligible for prizes.

I meant Silvers can't gain online achievements. I should have clarified. Though I maybe wrong about that and you're right, I just wanted to make sure we were talking about the same thing. Both my daughters have local (non-silver) accounts and thet gain offline, single/multi-player achievements. I have never had any success taking those or my wife's silver account online with me, but that may have been because of the game's rules and not microsoft's.

SILVER accounts can go online if you use a 48-hour Gold trial. I've done it numerous times. The account is still designated SILVER when you look at the gamercard but I don't think any online achievements would be unattainable.

I wasn't sure if we were defining 'real' as actual stuff of some kind or a virtual thing like the live games.

It also just threw me off in the FAQ that I thought it said you could only 'win' three times during the beta.

Does anyone know where you get a sweepstakes entry for the car? i did everything and it said when you log into 1vs100 you'll receive a sweepstakes entry. It never pops up in the lobby. Is it something you dont see and just automatically entered?

Last night I tried having a 2nd controller join with no one signed in, and it said that a Gold Member had to be signed in, in order to be able to join.

Obviously I, a Gold Member, was signed in....

I had a few free minutes to play tonight for the first time in a few weeks and something seemed a little off to me. Does anyone know how people have over 15,000 points after the first question???? It wasn't like that when I was playing before.

It is a bug in the Beta. They are aware of it.

A number of us were locked out on that first night. I think there was a cap placed on the number of LIVE users who could access the beta and in subsequent sessions it was raised.

Rumor: 1vs100 out of beta and giving out prizes next week.

Could it be? Could the grand online, social experiment that is 1 vs. 100 be moving out of beta next week and allowing everyone to win prizes galore? If host Chris Cashman wasn't just rambling off nonsense during a recent game, then yes, yes it is.

A poster over at Xboxic was reportedly playing the game when a contestant decided to go with the money instead of the mob. If the game wasn't in beta this would have netted him a cool 1200 MS points, but it was in beta so he got nothing. However, right about this time Cashman reminded everyone that prizes wouldn't be going out until next week. Ooops, no one knew prizes were coming next week in the first place.

Evidently he quickly tried to backtrack after letting it slip out of the bag and then mentioned a big announcment coming next week. It's just so hard to keep those secrets inside of you sometimes, isn't it? Sometimes you know something and you just have to go out there and tell at least 101 people about it or you'll just explode.

I hope this isn't true. There are a lot of bugs that need to be fixed. The point screwups, the one being spammed and disconnected seem to still be a recurring problem.

I played the 'live' round this afternoon and Chris said there would be a big announcement next week. He mentioned it 4 or 5 times over the 2 hour block, so the prizes might be live then.

Starting next Friday - July 10th, the 1 and the Mob will win the actual (skill-based) prizes they earn.

As well as the top 3 of each round earning an arcade game.

Also the current sweepstakes ends the 12th and a new one starts the 13th and the entries will reset so you can earn more.
