Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV
I thought my local Target wasn't clearancing any games for months, but then I saw an end cap clearance area several aisles away from the video game area, no way to notice it unless I was walking along the aisle running along the back of the store (which I never did before yesterday).
As I've mentioned in here before. My local Targets never have the prices others here have posted. I stopped checking after many weeks of searching end caps and main games areas.

Edited to add: I went ahead and checked their regional threads and don't see any with Target info for the Los Angeles area, which I think is pretty close to Torrance. I did search their main Target thread for Los Angeles and there are people there finding clearance games. Might be worth your time to post there if you want to get in on the clearance action.

Thanks. I'm a member. I didn't mean to start a whole new conversation about my troubles as they are well documented in this thread.

I'm in Los Angeles... a lot of times, the games don't make it to the deep discount that other regions may reach... I'm not sure if it's just population density or all the scalpers here.

Ok,ok. That's the 1st reasonable explanation I've heard.

Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV
Question, I wonder if others have started to see this....my local Targets have almost none of these deals anymore, at least as far as the Xbox 360 is concerned. Why? Because the glass case where the 360 stuff is, has shrunk considerably. The Targets where I am, the 360 is easily the least supported console behind Wii (largest), PS3, and DS. Therefore, if there is a clearance section, its minuscule and consists of some old PS2 and PSP games (and an occasional PS3). Is Target giving up on 360 stuff and I missed the memo or what?

If you are in the market for Lips: Number One Hits, check your local Target.
The game is on clearance for $14.98 now. Just a week or two ago, it was $29.98.
The game comes with a black, wireless microphone that is compatible with that game, obviously, as well as Rock Band, Beatles Rock Band, Band Hero(I believe) and Guitar Hero World Tour.

I'm surprised that Beatles Rock Band (360), and Band Hero (360) haven't dropped yet, those are the only 2 that seem to be still around.

Another Target I went to last night has Resistance 2 for the PS3 at $14.98
Nice price on pretty good game. If I didn't have it already, I'd def have picked one up.

Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV
I finally snagged a Lips game at the 3rd Target store I checked out in Las Vegas, thanks to this thread. I missed out on the old version last year as I didn't want to get it then for $24.99 when others were reporting that it was half price on other stores. I regretted not getting that then, but this one sure makes up for it!

Every Lips game is an extension of the core game, right?
I mean, there's only one set of achievements for the series that I can see, but I'm wondering if it's done with disc-swapping or is there a HDD export option?

Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV
All of the achievements for both games fall under "Lips", and I think the max is 1500 points rather than 1000. If you play Number One Hits, it will let you do a hot swap to play songs from the original disc. Not sure about vice versa (playing Lips and then swapping in the Number One Hits disc), and I'm not aware of any HDD export option.

I picked up Lips last year when it was like $9.98. Insane deal for just the 2 mics. I still have the disc, but haven't tried it yet. I'd be more inclined to try for this $15 expansion if it was seamless like RB or GH5+. Disc-swapping is soooo 2008.

There are some really fun songs to sing in the expansion, though:

It's strange that 4 of the 5 local stores seem to be on the same markdown schedule but the other one is always 1-2 weeks behind.

If you are in the market for the Beatles Rock Band bundle, check your local Target.
I had been watching one set at the Target I always go to and it started at full price, then down to $200, $175, $150, $125, $100.
Today, it was marked $62.
I picked it up. It was sealed and everything inside was perfect.
I had previously sold my rock band 1 drum set because I didn't want to keep them around for just me. I was having fun playing guitar. I also had the rock band 1 wired guitar.
So, it was nice to get the wireless drums and a wireless guitar that I can sync easy.
Since I had the game already, I can sell it off and offset the cost of the bundle by about half. $30-$40 for the instruments is a good deal.

Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV
Which system did you get it for? I'm heading to the local one tomorrow to see if there's one there (doubt it, plus I have no real interest in RB, but $62 is a helluva deal).

It's amazing what a few months will do to the price of a 250 dollar Rock Band set. Even with the Beatles name attached it just didn't hold its value (price tag) for long.

Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV
No Beatles at my store but they had the Band Hero bundle marked down to $50. I still couldn't pull the trigger. No need for more instruments and really wasn't feeling the BH setlist.
