The Video Game Deals Thread

There's an Amazon one but with tons of deals around, I thought this would be a good thread.

Eternal Sonata XBOX 360 $12.89 shipped at gogamer.com

Guitar Hero World Tour Bundle XBOX 360 for $142.09+tax shipped at Blockbuster.com with coupon code holidaysurprise (I'd guess the PS3 version is priced similarly).

Blockbuster.com 30% off games and accessories holidaysurprise.

Mass Effect can be had for about 20.xx at Blockbuster.com with the 30% online coupon. Most other places its on sale for 29.99 (and that does not include tax/shipping)

Fry's stores should have the following games at $10 a piece:

360-

Prey

PS3-
Dark Sector
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground
NBA Ballers Chosen One

They also list Spiderman WoS and Soul Calibur IV for $40 each (both systems) and Endwar (both systems) for $45.

Finally, they've got decent deals on a handful of Bluray discs:

$17.99

Kill Bill 1 and 2
National Treasure 1 and 2
Narnia 1 and 2
Pirates of the Carib. 1, 2, and 3

Pixar Short Collection
Enchanted

$11.99 (Universal)
The Mummy 1/2 and Scorpion King
The Thing

Eastern Promises
Casino
Miami Vice
U-571
Hulk (old version)

$9.99 (Anchor Bay
Heathers
Day of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead (old version)

So I went in-store to pick up my copy of Tom Clancy's End War with bluetooth headset at Best Buy today ($49.99 as mentioned in PS3 thread, deal still available) and also grabbed the same set with wireless headset for the Xbox 360.

Is the wireless headset for Xbox any good (it is the official one)? I have a hard time hearing people at times on the wired one, hoping this is of better quality.

Figured I'd eBay/trade the games to bring the price down on the headsets, maybe keep it for the 360 though.

Damn.. I wish we had Fry's in Michigan. I'd have rather had them then Circuit City to compete with Best Buy.

Just came from FYE where they had all their original xbox games marked 75% off. Picked up 23 games for less than $70. It didn't seem like a local deal, as several bins around the store had preprinted 75% off signs posted on them.

One of the games I got, 50 Cent: Bulletproof actually has a current $5 off mail in rebate on it. I only paid $2.50 for it, so in the end they'll be paying me $2.50 to take it from them.

Games are in my trunk right now but I'll post a full list later. Until then here's what I can recall picking up:

50 Cent: Bulletproof
Voodoo Vince
Panzer Dragoon Orta
The Warriors
Fight Club
True Crime: New York City

PSP - Test Drive Unlimited - $15
PSP - FIFA Soccer 08 - $10

They had other titles with similar discounts. YMMV.

Target deals are almost never worth mentioning because they are SO YMMV, even between stores in the same cities. But, they are useful to get a n idea as to what is new on clearance.

Was the Oblivion the GOTY or the original?
