They say you should get it within 10 days of them receiving your shipment. They just got mine a day or two ago, so nothing for me yet.

I got mine a few days after they accepted my games. Ended up getting Rock Band 2 SE for less than $15 out of pocket.

i called them up and you can still preorder it until Sunday, the day it comes out. i stopped by the store today and paid $5 to preorder it. $25 gift card for a $50 game isn't so bad. i can use it towards a second wii motion sensor.

Yeah when I went in earlier they still were accepting the preorders too. I think this is a pretty good deal, especially with the way deals have been lately.

Best Buy has a few price drops. Maximo vs Army of zin and Odin Sphere (both ps2) are $10.

Found the WSR pre-order tickets hanging with the Wii games about an hour ago.

Picked up Wii Sports Resort earlier at TRU. Managed to use a $10 off $50 coupon that came in the mail on it. $36 and change* out the door with the game and $25 gift card. The gift card has Mario & Luigi on it and expires at the end of September.

*$50 - $10 coupon - $5 deposit + tax

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

The TRU deal was amazing. $25 gift card for Wii Sports Resort. I was also using my $20 Ghostbusters card to buy it so no complaints about the cost of this one.

I know it's GameStop (), but they have SF4 for the PS3 or XBOX for $20.

AFAIK, it's online only.

Well, crap. I'm trying to economise here, but [Excitebots] at $20.00 after ECA discount and with Amazon Prime, that's wayyyy too cheap to pass up. Thanks for costing me money this morning, A-hole!

I see what you did there.

I grabbed SFIV PS3 from the GameStop sale. I can't see myself shelling out for the new rumored Championship Edition or whatever it's called, so this is fine for me.

Picked up SFIV. Will probably get a couple more like Mad World, but I have too much to play right now.

The card companies protect you so much nowadays it's not even a concern.
CC companies by law can only hold you liable for up to $50 of illegal purchases. Debit cards have no such law covering them. I could be wrong about that. My friend had his account hit by his cheating ex for about $500 and the bank replaced all of it. However, I think that was just the bank's choice to do that. I don't think they had to replace anything.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I don't know if this is every Kmart, but it's worth checking if you're near one. I just bought Guitar Hero: Aerosmith bundle (w/wireless guitar) for $8 and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock bundle (w/wireless guitar) for $7.

For anyone in the STL area, this was in Fairview Heights. I took the last Aerosmith bundle, but there were still 4 or 5 Legends of Rock bundles when I left.

My understanding is that if your debit card carries the Visa or Mastercard logo, then you are protected exactly the same as a credit card.

Wow, I actually saw this deal here before reading about it on CAG.

Ordered SFIV and Lair from EBGames.com this afternoon.

This evening, price matched Wanted and FEAR2 at Best Buy.

Picked up SFIV and FEAR 2 for $41.98 shipped. Good price.

Remember to use coupon code "SAVER" for free shipping over $25. And you can get 3% back through FW.

The caveat is you only have 48 hours to dispute such charges, and they have to be made as a charge and not a debit transaction to get protection.

Bottom line, the difference is: if someone steals your debit card, they have access to your bank account and steal your money, if they steal your credit card, they have access to your credit account and steal the bank's money. Which do you think is more urgent for the bank to recover?

Killzone is 39.98, btw.
