Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Why would you get the Standard Edition for 15.99, when you can get the Ultimate (That includes the Season Pass) for $4 more?

Because I don't care what version they get?

Mean!
I still don't get how they can keep the Season Pass at $50 by itself...

Wish that was for a PS4, I'd be on that.

If anyone is still looking for a PS4, Target has a good secret-ish deal going on, but you have to act today. The Uncharted 4 Slim bundle system is listed as $249.99, like everywhere else. Now, there are no gift cards or bonus games, so this doesn't seem enticing. However, there is a 15% Cartwheel discount on that specific bundle that expires today. Add in 5% if you have Redcard and the system comes to about $201.87! I picked one up last night at this price.
PS4 Target Sale Price = $249.99
15% Cartwheel Discount = - $37.51
Price After Cartwheel = $212.49
5% Redcard discount = $10.62
Price After Redcard (Before Taxes) = $201.87
Note, today is the last day for the Cartwheel discount!!

If anyone is looking for the $99 3DS, Walmart has them both for preorder for mid-December.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
The PS4 was never billed as an all-in-one entertainment machine like the PS3 was. It is primarily a gaming machine. That's been Sony's messaging since the PS4 was announced, "by gamers for gamers". I've never used my PS4 to watch Blu-rays on.
I guarantee the decision has nothing to do with selling more standalone UHD players, considering the only one they have even announced won't be on sale until next year and is an ES model, so will only be sold through installers. For some reason, Sony doesn't seem to really care about physical media any more.
I've said it before on here, without dual HDMI outputs, the Pro would have been useless for me as a UHD player. I'm not going to upgrade to a 4K capable receiver when I'm perfectly happy with the one I have.
