Steam did have it for $14.99 but Origin dropped the price to $7.49. I couldn't resist that ...
Still trying to figure out DLC though. I've heard a lot of talk about Mass Effect 2 DLC but cannot find a version that includes the DLC. I can't find the DLC separate either. Weird.

NewEgg had Smash for the Wii U for $50 shipped as a one-day-only deal yesterday, but that's over.

Target will give you a $15 gift card if you buy Smash for the Wii U between Thursday and Saturday.

It's not Smash-specific, but Toys R Us has a buy-one-get-one-40% sale that you could use to get a good price.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I may do the TRU deal. The Target one isn't bad either, since I shop there fairly regularly. Thanks!

GCU is the Toys R Us deal, every day, on every game, no second purchase required -- for the next two years.

You mean Best Buy, not TRU.

He's saying that the temporary deal at Toys R Us (buy one, get one 40% off) is what you get at Best Buy with GCU every day (plus you don't have to buy two titles to get it!). He said what he meant.

Geez, microsoftstore.com is getting hammered with this Xbox One deal, and for good reason -- you really do get to choose any game!

Fucking Microsoft. Of course their site can't handle the traffic.

I've been on there for over 90 minutes now. Took about fifteen minutes just to get my shit in the cart. Have been trying to checkout ever since. I sometimes get as far as the payment page before it just decides to send me back to the front page. Once it even cleared my cart and I had to start THAT process over. It literally just reset to the 'Traffic is heavy right now' screen in the middle of loading the 'Gathering order details' page.

It's like Microsoft decided online shoppers were missing out on the true Black Friday experience of going to a big city Walmart when the doors open for doorbusters and decided to replicate that ordeal in virtual form.

Update: Finally got my order through after an hour and 40 minutes. It goofed up again on the order confirmation page and I almost lost it, but I got the order confirmation email. I wouldn't have put up with it, but they were offering full price stuff for the 'free game'... I got Far Cry 4, which I was planning on getting anyway (and at current price point makes this a better deal for me than the Target one).

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Screw this, I'm going to bed. I tried ordering through a proxy server, tried processing my order over the phone (on hold for 45 min and counting). Nothing.

Worst online shopping experience ever. How does a company as huge as Microsoft not have the server capacity to handle the traffic they should have expected? I'm sure Amazon gets an absurd more amount of traffic and I've never had an issue with their site.

Oh, I absolutely agree. I devolved to cursing and yelling at the monitor at one point.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I had the console and Sunset Overdrive in my cart right at midnight, spent around 40 minutes trying/failing to check out, and gave up. I ordered the Assassins Creed bundle from Amazon instead. My kid brother is on his own for Sunset Overdrive now.
