Ordered a copy for in store pickup. If the game is that bad, at least I'll have a spare PS3 case...

I still haven't picked it up. I'm having second thoughts even at that price.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Doesn't Battlefield 3 come with one of those online passes with new copies? As the main draw of that game is online and I think the pass itself costs 10 bucks, that'sa pretty crappy "deal."

Yup. That's exactly what is happening next week. AC:R will be $9.99 with that coupon. Even though I haven't played AC II or Brotherhood yet, I'll be picking that one up for $10. Probably the PS3 version since it includes AC1 for free.

Disciples II PC download free from greenmangaming:

http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/e...-gold-edition/

You have to use their own client Capsule to play it. Starting Saturday, you can "trade" it in for a $5 credit on their site.

I've never used them before, so can't comment on the site much, except that it's very slow right now.

I'll pick it up. This was the game I was going to get at Target a month ago when they had that "trade in 2 games for 20$" promotion, but only took certain titles and I didn't have two of those titles.

The Darkness II is Best Buy's Deal of the Day at $11.99 for PS3/360.

Prototype II is Amazon's Deal of the Day at $29.99 for both systems. It's also another videogame Gold Box day, if anyone cares anymore.

Darkness II at $12 is an absolute steal. It's a short campaign but 100% worth it to play it twice through because of the + game option.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I use the term "deal" very loosely and with deliberately placed quotation marks, but since you can really never get any sort of a discount on PSN credit, I figured it was worth pointing out that at Toys R Us this week (until Saturday), when you buy one prepaid gaming card, you can get a second of equal or lesser price for 20% off. Essentially that's 10% off, or two $20 PSN cards for $36. Or you could get a $50 PSN card and a year of Playstation Plus (which I HIGHLY recommend now) for $90 total. Nothing too great, but again, it's better than the zero percent discount we usually see.

If anyone picked this up, it came with 2 additional $23 credits for Europa Universalis III and Hearts of Iron III. Europa dropped in price to $14.99 now, so that is free after credit.

I tried this game for a bit but I just can't get into MMOs. The graphics were very good though.
