I'm still bummed we're getting Rubber Soul instead of Revolver. I know... I know, people love Rubber Soul... blah blah blah.
But I'm a dude on the internet and I'm always right.
Revolver makes like Tuesday DLC for PS3ers and kicks Rubber Soul in the nuts.

To each their own - the only full album I'm buying at all is Rubber Soul - the rest of the stuff I'm just picking up select songs.

Didn't see your post - and i had to draw it early because there was a crisis in the household that I needed to tend to which meant I was out of computer range at 5.

OK, I downloaded Sgt. Pepper and played through all the new songs. Quite quickly it became apparent that this album was one of the worst choices they could have made for DLC. Why, you ask? Well, I would reply, because of all The Beatles albums, Sgt. Pepper has the least amount of traditional rock instruments. Many songs only feature orchestra instruments, which, when you try to shoehorn them into what is essentially a guitar paradigm, don't translate too well. Are you a fan of endless HO/PO's, coming at you so fast you can barely register them? Then you'll love songs like Lovely Rita and Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite.
Oh, and I was wrong. They did NOT combine Sgt. Pepper Reprise with A Day In The Life, so they are two separate songs, which is annoying. This is the first time I've been unhappy with anything Beatles Rock Band related. If you're not looking to download the whole album (there's no extra benefit to doing it that way a la Abbey Road, you just pay less in total), then I would recommend Sgt. Pepper Reprise, A Day In The Life, and Fixing A Hole and/or When I'm Sixty Four (I think She's Leaving Home is just a lame song in general). But whoever charted Lovely Rita and Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite can suck it (in Mr. Kite your solo is the goddamned tape loop Lennon made).
Edit: And I've never really complained before about songs where non-guitar instruments get charted to the guitar, but here it just seems to artificially raise the difficulty above what it normally would be. And then when you think how they could have done Revolver instead (which is both a better album and almost every song has a guitar and bass part), it just bugs me.

That sucks. Maybe I'll wait on the songs I didn't get from GS. Points are very tight right now and I still have Borderlands DLC to get and Gyromancer is going to cost 1200. I can wait on these until Santa comes.

Like pinata, points are tight right now so that works for me. I still haven't done the Lego export (800) and am chomping at the bit for Serious Sam(1200? 1600?). I'm also really digging Borderlands so that DLC may be on the horizon for me as well. Not to mention the final Beatles album. Quality content seems to be outpacing point deals these days.

I'm still downloading the entire album, but I always had a hunch this wouldn't be the best DLC. Probably because Sgt. Pepper is my least favorite post-'65 Beatles album. Not having Pepper Reprise and A Day In the Life as one continuous song is SO unfortunate.

For those on Twitter @Rockband is going to be posting codes throughout the day. So get your windows explorer set up to the redeem code page on xbox.com and hope you're quicker than a 13 year old who downed 3 5-hour energy drinks

Quicker than a 13 year-old in what sense? I admit, I've been in a bit of a dry spell lately, but I still think I could outlast most of them.

You have to be super, super fast and super, super lucky. With thousands of people following and trying to redeem the code, your chances are very small.
The worst chances are codes that Major Nelson posts. Even with a missing character that you have to guess, your chances are virtually nil as he has like 60,000 people following him.

Vryce, you don't happen to have any other codes from Gamestop you aren't going to use, do you?
I have 6/8 in Gamestop codes, but I'm trying for a set from RB first.

I will check when I get home. I might have one unredeemed pre-order code that will let you pick 3 songs. If so, will PM you details.
