Good lord I should check this thread more often. I got more information about PS+ from Decker's posts than I do from work, and I work at Playstation..

Did anyone else try Retro/Grade yet? I just gave the demo a whirl since the game is on sale through Tues. I liked it more than I thought I would. It's a weird game -- looks like a SHMUP, but plays like a rhythm game. You're a ship in reverse "sucking" back your shots in time to music while dodging enemy fire. Very strange, but sort of cool and unlike anything else I've ever played. Oy yeah, you can play it with a guitar controller, but I don't have one of those for the PS3. Wonder if that would make it easier or harder. Would certainly feel like a different game with that. Debating picking this game up for $5. I just might.

I also checked out Dyad demo again. For all the praise it receives, I don't get that game at all.

Apparently, there's a PSN store glitch where by moving the date forward, people can see what's coming for sale and free in the PSN Store next week. Plus will be getting NBA Jam On Fire Edition for the PS3 and Chronovolt for the Vita. Skullgirls, Sound Shapes, Tokyo Jungle and Bulletstorm will be on sale.

I've been playing GOW Ascension beta for a few weeks. It seemed to me to be a button masher, like Playstation All Stars Battle Royale. Granted, some people knew what they were doing and just dismantled me, but I got a few lucky kills.

I just finished downloading Megaman. You "purchase" them as a package, but you can choose to download just one them if that's all you need.

It's an unforgiving 2D platformer with slightly redone graphics. Nothing too essential, but certainly worth $1.
Dungeon Hunter is certainly worth grabbing as well.

You can, but they don't give you an easy way to do it. When I looked under PS+ New Arrivals or Free games, it's not listed. I did a search for Mega Man, and I found the combo pack, but it says "Not avaialble for purchase", then there's a button underneath that says "tell me more". You click on that, and it tells you that you can't purchase this pack because you already own Mega Man 9. At first I was like WTF, but then I found the individual Mega Man 10 download was also listed as free, so I downloaded that. Still, what a pain in the ass, and if I didn't know what to expect for free or what to look for, I wouldn't have gotten my free game. I really hate this stupid store.

Sony aims for US web PS Store launch this month, automatic downloads in the works

Sony is planning to introduce the web-based Sony Entertainment Network store to the US this month. According to CNET, who spoke to Sony Network Entertainment chief operating officer Shawn Layden, the SEN store will ultimately let users buy content there and then set it to be automatically downloaded to their PS3s.

The SEN store, which allows users to buy PS3 and Vita content via a browser, launched very quietly last month in Europe, with Sony eventually saying the store is being tested there. As it currently stands, content bought via the SEN store appears on Vita and PS3 download lists, but cannot be automatically downloaded to those devices via the web-based store.
