I bought this for $40 at Best Buy a while ago. My best friend and I are playing it together. We don't even bother with BL2 and just play it for the Pre-Sequel. That game is completely separate, and while not quite as good as BL2, it's still a lot of fun. It's well worth it for $30 - especially as a digital copy.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Yea...me and my friend kanji talked more about getting the game since both of us played the BL1&2 on the 360 with several friends. And both o us didn't quite finish BL2. The game is just downright fun...and funny sometimes an is made for co-op period which we're wanting to do more of (Dying Light). By the end of the day we'll probably get it and looking at starting from scratch might actually be a fresh of breath air. But I doubt I'll do more than 2-3 characters...just too much of the same an long process. Most of the reviews I've seen point to around a 8-8.5 score

Ditto (except Stealth In 2. So there's that.)

Will be nice to play some co-op Lara Croft with my friend who doesn't own it yet.

Now looking forward to getting Lara Croft on the Xbox One for free in October.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Summer sale is 'meh' for me so far. Will see what week 2 brings.

I'm happy with the PS+ Aug lineup. Figures that Lara Croft is free as my friend and I just bought it during the Xbox sale in July. Doh! And looks like I'll be selling my copy of Ascension.

Just a reminder that if you're going to buy Apotheon, the saved game file takes up almost a third of your allocated PS+ cloud space.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Can someone explain to me how PS+ game saves work? So I had a friend with a PS+ account come over to my house, and we played some co-op Diablo 3. He signed in to his PS+ account on my machine to do it. He liked the game, and then went out and bought it. But the character he created on my PS4 doesn't show up on his PS4. Shouldn't they be cloud syncing or something? DO we have to do something special to enable that?

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

They should be able to cloud sync if you've enabled the feature on that game. The problem is that most of us have long-since filled our allotted 1 GB of cloud saves (as noted above, Apotheon alone has a 300 MB game save!). He'll have to clear out some of his online game saves, then go back to your house, sign in as him, upload his save to the cloud and then come back and download it at his house.
Either that or he can put the game save on a USB memory stick of course.

Ok, so I bet we missed this step ... he has to do something specifically on my console to upload his game to the cloud?

He came back to my place last night, and the new character he made at his house wasn't available here either, so he maybe doesn't have cloud saves turned on at his place either?

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

From the webpage

The system automatically uploads saved data.

You can also specify for each game whether to automatically upload saved data under (Settings) > [Application Saved Data Management] > [Saved Data in System Storage].
To use the features with the (PlayStation®Plus) mark displayed next to them, you must subscribe to PlayStation®Plus.
To download and upload while in rest mode, you must set a checkmark in (Settings) > [Power Save Settings] > [Set Functions Available in Rest Mode] > [Stay Connected to the Internet].
To manually download any application updates, press the OPTIONS button while the application is in focus in the content area, and then select [Check for Update].

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Sony really has to step in and limit the amount of memory a game save can be. They should force the developers into splitting the save if they become too big. The fact that Apotheon's game save is 300mb is downright is absurd when the game itself is not even close to the size of a retail game.

However, for game saves that you want to take to a friend's house, it is easier to just use a USB. I have a 16gb USB just for backing up game saves since I have found the cloud to always be full due to the enormous save files of some and the pain of having to delete and sort stuff out.

I was getting an error when I checked out yesterday. I was still able to continue on to the checkout.

The Pinball Arcade website says Seasons 1 and 2 are discounted to $15 from 7/29 to 8/28. Discounts don't show up on PSN yet. Their site says to stay tuned for discounts on Xbox and PSN Europe.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I wouldn't hold my breath on that Pinball Arcade sale. Last year they claimed they were going to have certain things on sale that never went on sale, then they blamed it on Sony, yet they seem to be the only company that always seems to have these issues. I did like how they seem to have so many issues getting patches out that fix or add tables, but somehow managed to get a new patch through in two days when they screwed up and unlocked everything. I love their tables, but I have no idea how this company is still around.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

The Pinball Arcade prices came through. Seasons 1 and 2 are $15. My understanding is that PS3 and Vita are cross buy, while PS4 isn't.

I saw a complaint from someone in Europe that the patch locked all of his previously paid tables along with the unpaid tables.
