I kind of feel bad that this game didn't suck me in. I've got 2 chars somewhere in nightmare mode, and, gah, I dunno... I just don't feel the need to keep playing. I mean, the same shit over and over, just harder?
It's funny, I played Diablo 2 and the expansion, but I honestly don't remember how far I got into it. I'm guessing not much past the final act in normal.
I was hoping this would keep me occupied until the next WoW expansion, but it just failed to get it's claws into me

so now that I am on hell with my demon hunter, and I am level 51, I am starting to mess around with life on hit...and I noticed I was not getting good return. I have about 1000 life on hit on him, but was only getting 200 or so a hit back...It was driving me crazy...so I switch out my attack from Hungering Arrow (with shatter shot) to Entangling Shot (shock collar) just to see what was going on...so at this point I was getting CRAZY life on hit..like 1600 each hit...
So it seems life on hit is all over the place with attacks...I found this link showing what I am talking about...

so if you are going to use life on hit...be sure you use the right skill..this happens with all classes...

noticed this as well. i got a new bow and have been running with entangling shot / chain gang. needless to say if i'm attacking a single enemy, i wasn't seeing anything. going to have to look at this chart and explore some more.

yeah it looks like chain gang only gives you 20% of life on hit per enemy...shock collar gives 160% per target..

On another note, I forgot how short Act 4 was. I am now at Diablo and he moves much faster than I remember... Hopefully he doesn't enrage as I will probably have to run around in circles for 10 minutes to kill him. I did however learn that his melee one shots my WD!

So my new pc is going to be here next week because I am fighting over my computer all the time with my kids. (GTX 690 baby!!!) so has anyone heard when you will be able to sell your character? My son has a level 40 barbarian he has been working on, and I would love for him to get to keep it (I plan on buying another copy of diablo for him)

I notice a lot of my Wizard spells don't count, or only count for a small percent of LoH - but my LoH is low and I am only lvl 41. I need to buy one of those top end gems on the AH, found one on the RMAH for $9 but I still can't pay RM for a game item.

if you max level your jeweler, can you combine all levels of gem?
The reason i ask is because i see some recipes for gems.
If you upgrade your jewler to the max, do you also need a recipe in order to combine the higher level gems? (the ones that don't drop even in inferno)

Yeah, I am not sure I can stomach spending cash on an in game item. Even if I sell crap on the rmah, I don't know if I could stand to spend the credit on in game items.

yeah you can get up to a star gem withouth recipes. the gems cost about 600k ea to make. ive started upgrading all my gems its been costly but worth it I think.

I am almost level 60 with the Demon Hunter...it is a lot of fun to play, but my god they take glass cannon to a new level. If I make one mistake, and a monster so much as farts in my direction I die...lol...and this is on hell. It does not seem to matter if I have 60% reduction on all resistance...and near that on armor...you mess up one time you are in trouble...

don't get me wrong, I don't die that much, it is just that if I make a mistake it is hard to get out of it...with my monk if I messed up I always felt like I could still get out of it...
Wizards are tougher than Demon Hunters...the DH has one job...do massive damage, and stay out of trouble...
