AvP2 on the PC. (no relation to the crapfest AvP movies)

In AvP2, you could play as any of the three races: human, Predator, or Alien. Aliens can climb anywhere, all over walls and ceilings. The controls could have potentially been a gigantic mess for the Aliens, but the game handled it superbly.

Really? I can't play the damn thing, and I swear that's why I've never got into it.

Definitely agree with the Mario games - I don't think it's limited to the early ones though, because Mario64 was good too.

The accuracy of the Guncon for Point Blank on the PS1 was amazing. As I got better and better, I could get off several accurate shots each second across the screen at tiny little targets spinning red and blue.
