The one thing I wish they'd let us do is a swap on channels by dropping one onto another. As it is, you need an empty space to drop one and when you're managing pages and pages of channels, it gets a little tiresome.

Ran into that very same gripe last night. Finally remembered I wanted Galaga '90. I spent a good 2 hours playing Wii last night (30 minutes on Galaga), which is shocking for me. My kids play it quite often but I'm usually playing Rock Band on my 360. I spent the remainder of the time playing the Wiliams Pinball game that I picked up at target yesterday. Now that was a great time!

I accidentally found the Williams Pinball game at Costco for $15.99 today. Can't wait to play it this evening.

So I picked up Okami over the weekend and they changed the cover art from what I posted earlier in the thread; they removed the heart shaped cherry blossom leaves. I guess they didn't want to offend the insecure, pre-adolescent boys that run this industry. Oh, they stuck a GIANT "9.2 OUT OF 10!" emblem on the cover too. Plus there was ANOTHER review score sticker on the cellophane. Fucking disgusting.

But did you notice the IGN logo on the front art that someone forgot to photoshop out?

Oops!

Hey, on the plus-side, while the Wii version of Okami might have a fudged up cover, it's got a nice, full-color manual. The PS2 version had a cheap B&W manual. I think the manual more than made up for the wrecked cover.

Isnt there any talk for Battle of the Bands?

Im hate that rock star band shit (play a real fucking instrument!) but I just saw some vids for BotB and it looks and sounds pretty fun. I like the Spanish take on songs, plus you dont need a stupid instrument controler.

Eloquent. Don't knock it until you try it.

You obviously own a Wii, have you ever played Wii Sports? Why? Go out and play the real fucking sport.

I just find it very odd that waving around a Wiimote in a music game is somehow less dorky than playing a fake instrument. Care to explain? I also find it quite humorous that you shit on the vast majority of users for playing music games but want to strum up a conversation about a particular one with said users. Way to kick off a conversation.

At any rate BotB looks interesting but I haven't seen much on it since it was announced. It does seem very limited in regards to gameplay and modes though.

Ill explain by saying people are spending around $200 for accessories. That money can be spent buying the real thing. Im on South Parks side when it comes to guitar hero. Sure Ive played it but I was drinking with a few friends and the owner wanted everyone to play. I thought it was cool as a party favor but I wouldnt sit there alone playing this thing.

BotB seems like a novelty too but its a bit more original with variations on songs. Hell Id rather learn to play the variations on real guitar instead of a game. How does it look limited compared to other games in this genre?

You make it sound like it's the same thing as kissing dudes.

So you don't see the point of playing rhythm GAMES with controllers that add a whole 'nother level of immersion. That's cool. The rest of the world seems to and maybe you should take a step back and look at it for what it is: entertainment.

If it doesn't entertain you, that's cool. But don't expect your logic to be accepted by the people that are entertained.

Quite simple, really. You admitted to doing something you didn't want to do and you used alcohol and peer pressure as the excuse. You were just "curious" and "it was an experimental time" and that's ok

I just read about this on another site... Capcom is offering replacement cover art for Okami in order to make up for the mistake with the IGN watermark. Just fill out the form at the following link. You can select from 3 designs - they all look pretty nice, but I went with the first one.

I'm sure this is a FAQ, but: my wife has decided she wants a Wii. Where the hell do I buy one?

Thanks for the info!

And that Okami art-book coming out next month looks fucking awesome - I'm not typically into that sort of stuff, but the art for Okami was so good, and the design for the book seems like something I would love flipping through - it's an instant buy - I'm pretty sure it's print run will be fairly small, with little to no reprints.
