Refugee and American Girl would be kick ass in RB.

I did this tonight. It is a pretty simple modification. The LP is ten times better without the clicking.

I've been listening to Tom Petty nonstop lately. If Harmonix is serious about putting full albums up, they need to add Damn The Torpedoes and Full Moon Fever to the list. I'm catching the Running Down A Dream documentary on Monday, can't wait.

Uch, The Steve Miller Band is maybe the most boring, whitebread band in the classic rock milieu. "Bungle In The Jungle," on the other hand, is a fun song by Jethro Tull that I would gladly download for RB.

Of course I got my Jungle songs mixed up...Jungle Love is what I meant, but I'd rather have Bungle in the Jungle (or Locomotive Breath, Aqualung, Teacher or Hymn 43).

I think Steve Miller Band would be much more entertaining than Tom Petty. But us Wisconsinites have a connection with Steve Miller, so I'm biased.

I want both. I absolutely love Tom Petty. Steve Miller Band would at the very least be fun to sing and nice to have on my console since almost everyone knows their big hits so they would be easy to sing.

I'm not really enough of a Grateful Dead fan to buy a pack. To be honest, the only song I can distinguish from the rest is Touch of Grey. I will probably listen to the samples, though, and pick one out to get, just for something different.

It's definitely nice to see a week with more than the usual amount of selections.

The Thrash Pack would have been a definite no-buy for me (nothing against the genre, I just don't care for it), but I'm not a big fan of the Grateful Dead either. I'll be previewing these tracks and might pick up a couple of them if any of them really strike me.

Casey Jones, Sugar Magnolia, and Truckin are all three really accessible almost radio friendly songs. I imagine they will be really fun to sing. Heck, my 4 year old daughter already knows the lyrics to Sugar Magnolia.

The other 3 strike me as sightly odder choices. Good songs, but not among their most popular. As a long-time Dead listener i think i will need reminded on what I Need a Miracle sounds like.

Completed Guitar on Hard last night. I even managed to pass GGaHT on my first attempt with 4 stars, yay! Saved the 'star power' for the last solo. Had a bit of a harder time with stinkin' Enter Sandman.

Oh, I am indeed raising a little hippy girl. The other day we were looking at one of those kids books where you had to say what was wrong with the picture. She insisted that the girl in the picture was incorrect because she wasn't wearing pants with her sun-dress.

My family will love this song pack though because we can all sing most of the songs.

I am surprised though that Friend of the Devil wasn't one of the first released songs.

That's just wrong. You sure you don't live in Portland?

No, but i did stay with a friend in Seattle for a week. Even i wanted to go slapping people out there.

Aside from my love of the Dead, i think it is great that it is a completely new band coming to Rock Band.

I do have a question though, when a song is loading up it gives you some trivia fact about the band. Do you get new trivia facts with the DLC to correspond with those bands? If so, that is kind of a neat little "bonus."

Yeah - nice to have some new music - even though I likely won't buy any since I don't know the Dead at all

But I think that they do put new trivia in... not positive though, because I think the only "new" band I have is the b52s and I don't recall seeing anything then.

Fixed.

but the short answer is yes. At least - you can get the game/drums/mic stand alone now - the guitar I think is still en route.

Early on there were difficulties in production so they only sold it as a big box... or the band in Rock Band if you will.

Now you can buy the drums and the mic by themselves. You can also buy the game by itself.

They have not released the guitar by itself yet (although iirc you can use the guitar from GHII and GHIII on RB on the 360 version).
