Eye Of Judgment with PS3 Eye Camera - $43 at Amazon (4/21/08)

UPDATED BELOW ON 4/21/08

Amazon's Deal Of The Day is The Eye Of Judgment (with the Playstation Eye Camera). Price is $44.99. Their usual price is around $65. They sell the Eye alone for $33, so this is a pretty good deal.

That's a really great price. The free Eye software from PSN is fun to mess around in.

sigh. Sadly this fits into my price range, so I think I'll be buying it.

Dammit, this is pretty tempting. Are their enough people playing online legitimately with real decks? Or do most people just print out cards and play with those?

After I placed an order this morning, I read about the ability to trick the camera by printing out cards. That kinda soured me on the game.

But then I figured, does it really matter? I mean, if you're playing someone with all the cards, does it matter if that person printed out copies or payed for them? In terms of gameplay, is there any difference between a guy with a color printer and some rich kid that bought a complete set on eBay? Either way, you're at the disadvantage of playing against a guy with a full deck of cards.

True, but there are probably WAY more people printing out whatever the best cards are online versus buying decks on Ebay.

Regardless, I bought it anyway! I am a sucker for peripheral games like this. If enough of us buy it, we could probably get some games going through DVDTalk.

I jumped on it early this morning. A few days ago I decided that I was going to buy the Eye camera for $33. When this deal popped-up I decided, even if I don't like Eye Of Judgment, it's just an extra $12. Plus, I can always keep the camera and sell-off the game & cards for $20 on eBay.

I'm really looking forward to using the Eye with Burnout. That game's got some cool camera features.

Amazon has this again as their Videogame Deal Of The Day for $42.99 (4/21/08). The eye camera itself is 32.99, so you're basically paying an extra $10 for the game, cards and stand. Pretty good deal.
