Kids DS games (no reading necessary)
My daughter loves playing her DS. She just turned 5 and has just started learning how to read.
I'm looking for games for her that she'd like that don't involve reading. We bought Pokemon in the thought that I'd help her read, but thats the entire game. I also bought a Power Rangers game that is about half reading. She loves Mario Kart and plays that all the time, but i was looking for something else. Any recommendations? Thanks, Joeboo |

Give her Contra 4 to go ahead and test her skills.
![]() I think Yoshi Touch & Go would be a great game for what you're talking about. Also, Kirby: Canvas Curse and Pac-Pix could work out well also. All of them are older, cheaper games. You can get Pac-Pix at TRU for around $5-$10.

Nintendogs is an absolute must. Some other quality titles:
- LEGO Star Wars - Cooking Mama - Super Princess Peach - Diddy Kong Racing (similar to Mario Kart though) Animal Crossing: Wild World for next year.

Awesome, thanks guys.
She loves Big Brain Academy (the ones she doesn't have to read). I'll take a look at these. |

I bought my 4 year old daughter Smart Girls Playhouse. Its a budget title for 3-6 year olds. I was hesitant at first (budget publisher usually means bad game), but IGN gave it a 7 and it sounded liked something my daughter would like. Might be worth a look for $20.
