Some people say boosting is playing an easy game just to get the achievements. While this does increase your GS rather quickly, there's nothing unethical about it, as long as you're actually playing through the game.
Boosting online (finding ways to play ranked matches with friends) to get achievements much quicker is a little unethical and isn't getting the achievements in a legit way.
I've done my share of the first one (played a lot of so-so games just for points), but I don't really condone the online boosting thing.

Boosting is fine, and I have done my share of it. You still have to sit there and play, and most times it's super boring and takes forever. Game savers, however, should die! I will not do any game saving ever, so the 14 other people in our $100 contest need not worry about that, and they better not do it either

You can only do one challenge at a time, but you can back to back challenges if you like. Although if you win a challenge, you can't do additional challenges in that same tier.
Yes there are some easy games, but the good thing is if they use it once, the next challenge they won't have it. Or you can not let people in your challenge who haven't played Avatar yet =)
Finally I just thought I would mention I used to be in the DVD Website world, had one of the first players and did a DVD review compilation site. Then created TeamDVD with a few friends. But have since been concentrating on gaming, although I love my HDDVD player.

If I hadn't just gone through 4 new games completely already (Assassins Creed, CoD4, Mass Effect, and Orange Box) I'd be down for this. I still need more achievements on all of those but they are the more difficult ones.

I already see an error in our $100 competition. ZX10DOUG started out with 0pts somehow, even though he has had 2496 for the last week at least, maybe more according to his 360voice blog. Hopefully that gets corrected...or he will have a 2500pt head start

I didn't mean to! Honest! When I went to Rock Band Club last night, one of my student's was like "Oh, I rented Avatar" and me being the achievement whore that I am had to play it! That YouTube video is a lie! It doesn't take nearly 5 minutes. More like 1.

EDIT: it looks like ZX10DOUG's score has been fixed.

TMNT is a fun, quick way to rack up 1,000. The game isn't great, but it was decent enough for a once through and the achievements all fall into place in the normal stages, save one.

With the exception of Avatar, I went through Condemned, which is a pretty sweet game. I don't know what's next on the plate for me after I get the last 2 achs in that. Perhaps one of the CODs or maybe Overlord.

That's the reason I didn't sign up.. Not worth the trouble, but to some, it is.

Any chance someone wants to start/join a non-cheesing one for after this one ends?
