I read that RE4 on the Wii has exceed Capcom's expectations by nearly double...and it's still selling well.
This means that we'll almost certainly see more third person RE action on the Wii, regardless of how UC sells. Whether that means RE5 or something else, I don't know.

Nearly 25,000 people signed this thing! That's actually pretty impressive.
I firmly believe that they'll find a way to get this on Wii...or if not possible, another RE game based on the RE4 engine. The economics of it are pretty simple really.
I'd be much more interested in an Okami for Wii petition...but still probably wouldn't bother signing it.
