Finally getting around to this game now that Dark Souls is complete, and I'm enjoying it slightly more than I did at first glance, but still not a whole lot. The Zero Punctuation video explains a lot of why that is.
Oh, and nothing in Dark Souls made me as angry or as frustrated as Five Finger Fillet and its final round randomness. NOTHING.

Some may think it's "cheating", but that last round is ridiculously difficult without it.

I already finished it the normal way, but that's a good tip that I absolutely would've used if I'd known about it. I'm on disc 2 already after a couple of evenings' worth of playing, and I've completed all the minigames. I finished Strum on the first attempt and Teague's "hardest deck" on the first attempt as well.

Nice work. Sounds like you're near the end. I guess the good thing about the campaign being fairly short is that, if you're not completely enjoying it, at least it's not something you have to commit a serious amount of time to.

The last level of this game is TERRIBLE. And the ending is even worse! It's pretty clear they plum ran out of time and had to drop their pencils and ship with what they had.

Yeah, I finished it last night too, just awful. I got 100% of the achievements and now I couldn't be happier to get rid of it. In a couple months' time I probably won't remember a thing about this game, other than that it looks like Mad Max and has way too much driving.

They really should have spent less time on the graphics and more on varying the game itself. I also don't think that the map is really that big altogether. Yes, there is a lot more detail to the parts of the map that are there but they don't really add anything to the enjoyment of the game. It is also very much like moving from room to room and shooting 2-10 bad guys and then moving along (rinse and repeat). I fought a boss early on and got annoyed that the enemies would just continuously spawn until you took out the boss himself. The game is good but it is nowhere close to what we were made to believe the game was.

i was excited to see a demo up on Live. a 2.03 GB demo! my launch 20 gb hd cried. I am a big fan of Doom and Quake. Doom 3 is one of my favorite games, one of the most immersive games I have played. I came away very disappointed with the Rage demo. The graphics were great, but the gameplay was very mediocre. I am just hoping they do a better job with Doom 4. I might pick the game up when it drops below $20 bucks, but I am glad I didn't spend $60 on it.

Yep, since we only have a game of the year thread and not one for the most dissapointing I will just mention it in this thread. Unfortunately I spent 60 bucks on it, and was completely dissapointed. Still worth playing, but at around 10 dollars.

Needed 2 fucking cards to get 100%, damnit! Took me 26hours on normal. Looks amazing. I liked it a lot but it did seemed as a cut job. The main guy and old lady disappear, never came back. The TV show was short, should had more crazier episodes. The Stanley Express could had been longer throughout the game. Loved the Subway Town but they should of only concentrated on the wasteland for this game. My favorite parts where the Jackel hideout that was crazy. A lot of stuff just seemed edited/cut down to make release date.
Hope they make a sequel and flesh it out and make the game that it should had been.
How much did it sell?

not counting digital pc sales, vgchartz estimates 2.7 million. If you go by the 50/50 rule for pc games when it comes to digital sales vs physical...3 million...

Funny you should bump this. Earlier today i got a copy of the pc version for $10 at Best Buy. I figured for $10 is a good price for this.
Why was their so much hate when it first came out? It looks pretty fun.

Rage: The Scorchers DLC Confirmed by Trophy List
New campaign and new minigames.
A leaked trophy list has confirmed that Rage will receive new downloadable content called The Scorchers. As outed by PS3Trophies.org, 10 new Trophies are listed for Rage, hinting at a new campaign and new minigames.
The Trophies refer to finishing a campaign as well as completing several tasks “in The Scorchers job path.” New minigames include Video Poker and Roly-Poly, and locations include Hagar Caves, Bash Canyon, Scorcher Base and Refinery.
The Scorchers was first outed by a PEGI rating in June, referring to a group of bandits known as The Scorchers that were cut from the original game’s release.
We’ve reached out to Bethesda about The Scorchers and will update this story with any comment or additional information we receive.
