Ah.. another strategy RPG..? Boy, if I liked that genre I'd be in love with this company.

NIS has made some of the best games for the PS2, it's nice to see they're still making them.

I looking forward for these 2 games: Ar Tonelico & Persona 3. Kinda sad cos Nis & Atlus still wanted $50 each

I like NIS games but just don't have time to play them.... so I will wait for a price drop on Ar Tonelico. Heck, patience is a virtue since I picked up Atelier Iris 2 for 9.99 last week.

I got Ar Tonelico yesterday and it's utterly fantastic! One of the best RPGs I've played in a while. The battle system is a lot of fun to use, and the characters are hilarious. There is a lot to this game and I would suggest grabbing it.

I'm blind, can you post a link to vgtalk?

And yes I've been awaiting Ar Tonelico for some time now. I missed out on Atelier Iris.

Okay, so I've been playing this game for about five hours straight. That's easily the longest gaming stretch I've done since Oblivion came out. I'm completely addicted to Diving into Aurica. I did 4 levels in a row.

I bet you love ramming your big Grathnode crystal deep into her install port.

Okay, now I'm pissed off. I got about 12 hours into the game on my PS3, and then I tried to save again and it said "load failed" when it tried to load the data from the memory card. I quite the game and restarted, same deal. So now I can't even access the game I'm 12-hours into. I'm either going to cry or start shooting Sony executives for sport.

My copy should arrive today. I'll be playing it on the PS2 so hopefully I won't have the same problems Suprmallet is having. I probably won't get to spend any time with it till Sunday or Monday though. I'll get through it and get my review up ASAP.

Picked this up today, have a 10 month old son, won't be playing much for now. I did love Atelier Iris, so this one should be rather good I would think.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Supr. Is your save internal, or on a ps2 card in the PS3 adaptor?

Ian

I don't think you can save on a PS2 card, right? The adapter is only to transfer PS2 saves onto the internal HDD. This is the second time someone's mentioned a corrupted PS2 save on the PS3 on this board.

You can't transfer PS2 saves on the PS3 HDD back to a PS2 memory card? Damn it. Well, now I'm glad I didn't sell my PS2. I'll be using it to replay those 12 hours I spent on Ar Tonelico.

I've heard of people having these load failures on PS2 saves on the PS3. I don't think there's anything that can be done.

Yup - the virtual memory card (as any memory device) can possible be corrupted. Not sure the reasons why it seems to happen, but it's known. And it sucks.

Unfortunately, I still see no way to fix it.

So have you got back into it, Supermallet (or anyone else)? I put in a few hours on it this weekend. I've been plodding along, I'm only about 7 1/2 hours in. I wonder how long the game is though. It keeps throwing new gameplay machinics at me even this far into the game. I also haven't even needed to upgrade my weapons or armor on any my characters so far except for one new sword I found in a dungeon for Lyner. On the other hand, plotwise things seems to be moving along pretty fast and my characters are already up to nearly Lv. 40. It seems like it's either going to be really long or fairly short.

Between Crackdown and reviews I haven't had time to get back into this one, but when I have a few free days I definitely will.
