Still holding out hope that mine might ship today, since aerobson's did, and we ordered on the same day.

My order from 11/30 was billed and I got my UPS 2-day tracking #. I expect to have it Wednesday. Hopefully the official ones will make a difference in the quality I am seeing on my LCD over the knockoff I'm currently trying.

I work at Best Buy and from what I understand we're expecting most of the Component cables to come on the 13th. Some people might wanna check other BBs in their area to confirm, but I'm pretty sure it's the universal date.

Stopped by a few stores today to see if there were any new accessories out for the Wii. Didn't see anythign new, but at Best Buy noticed 2 shelf tags for component cables (pegs were empty). One for $24 and one for $49. Neither one was the official Nintendo one. I'm goin' back tommorrow to see if they might have them out.

I stopped by my local Best Buy, it's a big one (Landmark in Boston) and it had NOTHING for Wii. Zelda, Madden, TC, Raymond were sold out, no controllers, no points, and no cables.

My Best Buy doesnt even have a place for Wii accessories. They have a shelf for games, but not even empty pegs that indicate that they had accessories or might have them in the near future. Strange.

My Best Buy doesn't even sell anything at all!
btw, another wifi noob question for you all - what capabilities do you gain from using a router vs. just the nintendo wifi dongle? My assumption is that the dongle doesn't allow non-nintendo devices (i.e. laptop) to access the internet

I finally hit pro with bowling! I get a cool new ball. Any other pros out there? Oh, and has anyone hit 300 yet?
P.S. There is a bad side to this; my competitive wife now uses the endearing term of f**ker to address me because she hasn't hit pro yet.

Has anyone played any video files on their wii yet? I bought an SD card and put some files from my PC on it and plugged it into the wii. No dice. The manual says it will play .mov files and yet it still didn't work. Does anyone out there have a program that will convert video files to ones that will work on the wii?

http://www.redkawa.com/videoconverters/wiivideo9/ is what I use for videos. I only have a 16mb sd card though at the moment, but the clips I tried looked alright.

For anyone still holding out for retailers to get component cables, I got word we probably won't see any until later in the month than planned.
Meanwhile, we had an extended employee discount at work so I picked up Rayman and two 2,000 point cards. I still haven't found a game I feel is worth downloading, though.
