Ok so I added some of you to my friends list. This game is awesome and look forward to joining up with some additional people other than my usual eight. Maybe we could all get going and get some 12 v 12 going on. I will be on every night this weekend so add me to your list and lets play.
Thanks

Found the Best Buy version with the free DVD of The Longest Day yesterday. Both individually sealed inside a slipcase. $55 with GGC.

Think I found a glitch:
I cannot REVERSE in any vehicles. Either single or mutiplayer

Im playing the single player mission and had to go back a checkpoint several times when I get stuck and cant reverse out of it. The B button works fine every other time.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yeah the B button works like charm. This Save Ferris guy is nearly as clueless as Exodus Prime. I didn't even know that was possible

Lucky I freakin love every minute of COD3 so far. My only gripe would be that we don't play quite enough of the straight up deathmatch games when there are a bunch of people in the room, it seems we're always playing long winded objective games. FFA Deathmatch games are great for just chatting and they're quick. Throw in a little team DM and then some objective games and it would be perfect.

I much prefer the objective or teamed games so we can all use our special abilities.

He's the issue that I have with multiplayer. You need at least 2 "support" guys to drop ammo. I don't know how many times I ran out of ammo in the two online sessions we've had. I hate that. I loved in CoD2 that you could just pick up ammo from any dead guy, whether it was your weapon or not. I know it adds to CoD3's theme of a team game, but man is that annoying.

It's also freaking annoying that you can't pick up grenades!

To those of you that have both, is this the one to get for multiplayer or is GOW the way to go? If COD3 is going to offer the better Multi, I may just rent GOW instead and buy COD3. I'm itching to pull the trigger on one of these two games so bad right now. It's horrible because I am almost done with Oblivion and I still need to finish PD0, Kameo and GRAW. Plus I keep getting rental games that I am finishing left and right.

CoD3 is. Now, I haven't played GOW on multiplayer, but the ability to play w/ 24 instead of 8 is far better.

I bought it on Wednesday, but my copy ended up being defective. It wouldn't allow me to join any online games, and when I went to the multiplayer type (Live, Local, System Link, etc.) menu, it wouldn't allow me to move the cursor off of, "Live." It also kept trying to join games from there.

I returned it yesterday and got a new copy. However, I haven't had a chance to play it. I decided to get some sleep before work yesterday (I work midnights,) and I've had class today after a couple of hours of sleep. I should be on tonight though, if anyone wants to play.

I hope we get another game going tonight. And like Martin already said, it would be nice to pepper in some every man for himself deathmatch once in a while to break things up. That way we can all also talk to each other, because I don't think I was ever able to talk to anyone on the other team the whole night. I'm also a real big fan of the CTF gametype too, but I don't like the game where we have to keep regaining positions at all.

The single player game is pretty good. Nice addition on the driving missions.

Sounds good. As much as I want GOW I added it to the top of my queue and will buy COD3 tonight or tomorrow, I think.

Wow. That was cool. On a level where there was some stairs in a building, I shot a guy at the top, he fell down on the stairs and then just slid down like a real body would. That was awesome detail.

I don't have the game yet but if you had to choose between COD3 and GOW as one game to get which way? I "may" be picking up a 360 tomorrow but that'll depend on if BB goes along a price matching deal for a DSLR and printer we're going to ask for. I can get one new and older game. I was set on Gears but now COD3 is out to.

So what exactly did you have to do to get the Purple Heart achievement? I just got it out of the blue. I had been playing for a good 30-45 minutes on one part (on Normal, no less) after you row the boat across the river and it popped up afer I finally cleared it. What is that, a sympathy award?

Ugh, this game is great, but it is pissing me off too! Last night in the online games we were playing, I got stuck and couldn't move, then I spawned with no weapons and had to run around and find one. Now, while I am playing the single player game I am getting stuck in the middle of nowhere and can't move. This is a great game, but they friggin rushed it out WAY too soon.

I know what you mean, the first time I started the game, I was stuck behind an overturned boat after using it as cover. Had to eat a grenade to start over again.

And personally, I'm digging the multi player, but I'm kinda bored of the single player. I doubt it's because I'm spoiled by GOW, but COD2 still has me hooked on the single player campaign, COD3 not so much.

Same here. COD2's single player was great, this one just so-so.
