the 25 man raids arent til level 69 or 70, right? if thats so, it will likely be the first 25 that level up that will get in the early raids. we'll still be hitting BWL as we level up. most of our guild hasnt seen it.

Holy Crap

Hunters rule in solo. When I was a rogue, I had a hard time soloing anything more than 2 levels than me..and never more than 1 at a time.

as a Hunter? I can solo 2-3 levels above me, with 1-2 more adds. This is great

I've been slowly reducing my playing time over the past month. I haven't done anything besides pvp in over 2 months. Hopefully I'll have the will power to quit when Burning Crusade hits.

Warlocks too

can't do it with high lvl adds though but I've soloed red levels as a 'Lock and taken them down fairly easy, casters are the easiest to kill, low health and armor just DOT them and drain life and let my minion tank

I was able to solo to 60 as a rogue without a lot of trouble once my gear was at least all blues. Stealth also enabled me to solo certain quests (even those found in instances) that would have been otherwise impossible.

FYI, if anyone is still looking for the Collector's edition of the Burning Crusade, it looks like it is still available for order directly from Blizzard. I would have grabbed it, but it doesn't seem to me that the extra stuff is worth all that money.

Damn. joe's post got my hopes up. I guess if you haven't pre-ordered the CE yet, there's no hope? Any chance of buying the CE in retail stores?

It seems like Blizzard actually limits production of their collector's editions.

Sorry, it was available when I made the post, though... I as able to add it to my cart ... now it just says sold out. Oh well...

I would check places like Target after the release. I got a copy of the original Collecter's Edition a couple months after release at Target.

The collector's edition is available at blizzard online again! I just ordered it (even though I said I wouldn't!)

The site is swamped, so you have to refresh multiple times on each page.
good luck!

Anyone know if you make a character now on a new server to "hold" your name if it gets wiped right away when you delete it like most mmorpgs? I think I remember one game where took the server few days to erase, that would stink.

I see they keep adding servers, not sure if they are done yet or if there will be more on TBC day. MoonGuard seems very tempting to me being the newest RP server. Would be nice find afew more like minded folks as I doubt just my friend and I could run too many dungeon instances nor tolerent typical intelligent pickup group conversations of that is so gay, your a faggot noob!

Well the Dark Portal is open, and all hell has broken out. It's also a pain in the ass to even download the new patch, and any WoW related sites are sluggish.

I can imagine what it'll be like next week. I can't wait for the 234,563 Blood Elf Pallys to invade the Horde.

I foresee a break from WoW til the hoopla dies down.

So with all these people coming back to WoW for the expansion, will that make things more expensive at the AH, or less?

I figure either all these new people are lazy, and want to just buy stuff, which will drive prices up.

Or with all these people out farming for mats, there will be more stuff at the AH than ever, which will drive prices down.

I'm nowhere near an end game warlock (at 57 everything but my old robe I still wear is AH bought) and my health and mana are equal. Mana's almost never an issue (a pet, a dot or three, and then wand stuff to death) so I've always emphasized Sta over Int on this character. When I used to worry about int he died all the time, but now he only dies if I get greedy.

The price of Epics should come down considerably in the AH. By the time people are hitting level 65 and up the green drops will probably be just as good as old Epics.

I just started playing (trying out a 30 day trial) and I'm on the Shandris server. It doesn't seem like there are a lot of people there would I be better to go to a more crowded server? Can I switch realms on a whim, or just by creating a new character on a different server? I'm only level 4 so it's not like I'm set, and keep in mind that I may not play past the free 30 days.

So far it's okay, I played FFXII on/off for 2 years, and finding that some of the keystrokes are the same between games so it's been pretty easy to pick up.

I checked out the realm/server that you are on and from what I can see it's pretty new. I'd stay on a new realm where you can be on an even playing field with everyone else and level up together. The realm should get more populated very soon with The Burning Crusade expansion coming out. People will want to start new characters to lvl up with all the way to 70. With the older realms, you'd be so far behind and it's harder to log into. I believe you have to pay to switch a character to another realm. You can create another character though on another realm free of charge. Don't judge the game at lvl 4. The game doesn't really begin till you reach I'd say lvl 20.

Shandris has been online for a week.

Personally I had a lot more fun leveling up on a virgin server rather than a mature one. The auction house will have tons of low level gear, and a much higher % of people will be willing to group at low levels. You may have to farm for the items you want rather than just buy them, but I find it much more satisfying that way.

Getting excited for the BC. Anyone else going to pick it up at midnight? I'm going to try to hit a small-town Walmart near me first. I can always hit one of the 3 Gamestops near me after that if that doesn't work out, since they'll all be open at midnight too.

Moon Guard server has been great for alot more mature setting so far. I been very pleased with Horde side. On 3rd day I peeked into the alliance NE area just to gauge how bad BE area could be. General talk I finally had turn off but it lasted hour with alot level 1 goof offs but I got see very fancy wedding at a moonwell.

If only they required you to sumbit a form why you wanted be on rp server before they let you in, half these folks there to grieve like hotnakedelf wouldnt bother

P.S. Took 3 days to actually hear gay used as negative, alliance side but had to be all time record!
