I had a strange problem with inventory.

I was visiting Auction House; had 10 items. I set up 5 auctions and I left 5 items in my inventory. When I logged in the next day, there was nothing in my inventory, nada. Does this happen a lot? Some sort of bug?

Sure, I am still new to the game and those were just lowbie greens, no big loss, but I would like to know where my items went??

You should open a ticket with a GM.

Well, clearly, if you read the Blizzard forums, they're just doing it to screw all the players, especially all the ones who were planning on playing over their entire Thanksgiving and Christmas vacation.... Surely, it's done, and Blizzard is purposefully giving up all their holiday season sales because they like being sadistic...

Geez, what a bunch of whiners.

I just think it wasn't done, and they found too much stuff in the beta that they couldn't fix by release date. It happens. Gives me more time to hopefully hit 60 before it comes out...

With the delay, guess it'll be a while before I reopen my account. Maybe I'll check out NWN2.

They were various green items, lvl 14 -19, 2 weapons and 3 pieces of armor. It's not worth opening a ticket with GM, I am just curious and would like to know if there are any known bugs.

My guild killed Ragnaros last night for the first time. We spent about half an hour preping (getting the LBRS fire resist buffs, drinking potions and practicing where to stand at the 2 phases). We ended up killing him on out first attempt, it was awesome.

oh that makes sense. I guess when an enchanter is asking for that they expect you to research and have the material ready.

They'll usually link you the materials if you ask them.

Onyxia is fun for a while. We've been doing stupid things to make it interesting lately. We split out 40 man raid into 2 20's and raced to kill her first (the group full of alts won). We let a hunter tank once. The rogues did nothing but use throwing daggers another time.

I have been playing since launch on Frostwolf. All of my toons there were alliance and I never had played on the horde side. I wanted to roll on an East Coast server so I picked Warsong. I decided to roll horde this time and now it is almost like a brand new game. It is so much fun with new quests, cities, and flight paths to find. I would tend to think that 2 years later this game would have lost a lot of steam, but starting over again on the other faction is a great way to make it new again.

I was a long time UO player, and Everquest II player, I finally gave up EQ about a year ago, I have been playing BF2 now. I think I want to get back into a MMORPG. My question is should I go back to EQ since I have a character already? Or should I try WoW I hate getting into games late, and having to start at the beginning. Any recommendations?

It took me 2 months to the day to get my very first character from 1-60. Start one now and in January, hopefully, when the X-pac comes out you'll be there.

I don't like getting into games late either, but I didn't mind this one at all.

Apparently not- I'm 13 months in and only hit 57 this week. And I spend most of my time in 200% XP time. I'm assuming with 2 months time, you're almost never there...

How do you hit 60 in 2 months???

You can hit 60 pretty quickly if its not your first character to level up. you learn which are the good quests and which instances to run. Also if you just take gathering professions (herbalism, skinning, mining) and dont waste time on crafting professions. Its easier with some classes. Quick level classes in my opinion would be warriors, hunters and rogues. Mages can do it if you can partner with a priest and just go around to places like gnoll camps and gather up a bunch of mobs and AoE them all down at once. A mage and priest can take down 10-20 mobs every few minutes using this method. of course you end up dying often when a mob or two resists.

I don't understand the rush to cap on MMORPG's. For me, it's about the journey, not the destination. But, to each their own.

The only rush i could see is if you leveled through the quest lines already and would like a different class for playing the end game instances. Usually when its your third or fourth time questing the Barrens, you dont stop and smell the flowers.
