I read this on CAG a few days ago, and people were able to order pre-orders in the deal.

EDIT:

I just went back to read the latest over there, and yeah, they say that they changed it so pre-orders no longer count. I know a ton of people there got orders in on this deal with some pre-orders though.

do you have seperate logins? I think its per registered ds/per login.

So. Is anyone else getting this deal to work properly? At least with games they actually want? The deal only stipulates that the game be in-stock and not a pre-order. So why won't it let me get Mario Hoops or Mega Man ZX? When I put either into the cart with New Super Mario and Star Fox it doesn't work.

I was able to do it just now for Tetris, Mario Kart, and SMB.

On a side note, I don't think I've even registered my DS yet, but it still worked.

Lego Star Wars is another one of the games that just isn't working because it came out last week.

It's covered ad nauseum at cheapassgamer.com : At least the Starfox game won't work in this promotion. Don't know about LSW2.

I ended up getting Mario Kart DS and Metriod Prime Hunters for me and New SMB for a friend who I charged 1/3 of the total cost ($25). Worked just fine. I think the promo is over after today...

Actually, it appears that Lego Star Wars is the culprit. When I take that one out and put in any other game, Starfox Command goes to 0.00. I called Best Buy and they told me to just order the 3 I wanted and then call them with the order # and they will adjust the total.

added: both the Nintendo site and Best Buy show an ending date of September 30.
