Re: Dead Rising for 360?
Could someone tell me how to "Continue" a game from exactly where left off? When ever i die it only gives me options to save and return to title. then, i have to start all over. please help...

It's a weird system.
The "Save Status and Quit" only saves Frank's abilities. To save the game itself, you need to go to a save point. Note: restoring from a save doesn't restore any abilities that Frank has earned between the last save and dying.
Good writeup here: http://xbox.about.com/od/cheatsfaqs/...isesavhelp.htm

Re: Dead Rising for 360?
Sorry for the bump, but after a few years of owning this I'm finally putting some serious effort into beating this.
I'm trying to master the double lariat, and having no luck. Everything I see says click the left analogue and hit X, but when I do that Frank does nothing.
I'm level 41, which I would assume would be high enough to do it. I'm always trying it when there's no one around, is that the issue? Do I have to be near a zombie or special forces troop to make him do it?
I've heard it's really useful in the final fight, so I want to get it figured out by then.

Re: Dead Rising for 360?
So I finally got around to playing this game a couple of weeks ago, and did all the usual stuff during multiple playthroughs. It's a good thing this game is really fun, or some of the achievements would be downright obnoxious.
Anyway, I have just joined the 7-day survivors club after the obligatory 14 hours (and on my first real attempt). I didn't find it difficult at all, just lengthy.
Where's my prize? I feel like there should be cake or something. Or maybe sleep would be good.

I don't think i can continue on with this game. I finished medicine run but before handing in the medicine i saved. Turned in the medicine and the chick thanked me. It then said the next case will start at 11:00 am. A;ll of a sudden i get a message saying "Scoop lost" and gave me the game over screen! I reload and check my watch and it's nowhere near 11:00. So the scoops i assumed were optional and now I find out I can't progress unless i start all over again?! That's some bullshit. I'm so glad DR3 got rid of the time requirement cause i was having a blast till this crap happened.

I hated the time requirement at first too, but once I adjusted my mentality about it I really enjoyed it. For me it's about realizing it's not a game you're going to 'beat' on the first attempt. It's a game you're supposed to play through a few times before you finally get through it, learning a but more each attempt, and the leveling supports this a bit. This annoys a lot of 'hit-it-and-quit-it' gamers who like to cruise through a game and move on, but as someone who played through this game about 20 times (strategizing time management to rescue every NPC in one run became a game in itself) it adds a fun level to the game.
