I was at the local CC and bought the card - asked the cashier afterwards if he could help me get it out and told him what I was doing.

The packages that hold the memory cards are hard to open without some cutting instrument.

Doesn't stop people from stealing them, though. Besides, I have nothing on the card at all, so whatever content I get from the kiosk would be the only content on there... making it hard to prove I had it before I came in the store... (I bought one before the $10 BB coupon officially expired)

Maybe I'll transfer something onto it first...

How about something as simple as writing your name on the back of the card, or renaming the memory card in the xbox dashboard. You wouldn't be able to rename it at the instore kiosk because they take away most of what you can do.

What's the release day on this?

I might have my system back by then.

SO, after reading a thread about streaming xm radio to my 360, I tried to set it up.

Media center was having problems communicating, so I shut off my 360.
Turn it back on, the ring of light is flashing 3 red lights.
Turned it off and on again, same 3 red lights.
Looked up on Xbox support and followed their tips, no change.. 3 red lights. Hardware failure.

A phone call to xbox support and by Monday I should receive a paid shipping box to send my unit back to them. By the following wednesday, should have a unit back, according to them. Mine if they can fix it or another if they can't.

Pisses me off. I had it on today briefly and nothing seemed wrong. I've been using it daily since I got it Nov 22 and only noticed a few freezes that I thought were game related because people reported those issues. Froze twice in PGR3 and oncein DOA4. So for 2 weeks I won't have my system.

it comes out March 7th the same day I have to get a freakin cavity filled I may not be able to get the game till the 8th

Update. There is now a 720p trailer on the marketplace as well as a theme and gamerpics.

Then to figure out the Spike Tv and Alienware cars, anyone have an idea how those are gotten, or will the be available at the stores as well?

Since Spike and Alienware don't have their own retail locations, I'm betting they show up on the marketplace.

I tried GameStop today and the manager said they haven't received the new demo disc with the content yet.

Haven't tried BB or CC yet.

So you might want to call before you head out.

I tried BB and they said they didn't get the new demo disc in either. I thought I heard that there was content on the old demo disc that you could download, but the BB guy said that there wasn't. Untrusting, I went to go try it for myself and found that the controllers don't work on their display. Ugh.

I got the 360 car and Burnout theme a week or so ago from Best Buy. Now, I jsut have to try to get the store unique cars and hope the stores have the new demo disc.

Might, but not sure. MS does want people to purchase memory cards. So, I can see them not releasing this in the market place as an incentive to get people to buy them.

nice, this is going to be great to go to your store and find that the demo machine isn't working or better yet some jackass worker took the demo disc home (our walmart) so now the machine doesn't work at all.
