Why do you think video game movies are bad?
Why you think video game movies are bad. Personaly when I think of this question, 3 reasons come to mind:
1. Not the right people are making them
2. The movie version strays far from the story of the game that its based on
3. Uwe Boll

My option?
Well, my opinion on the matter is: "who cares?" That kind of cross-medium marketing is just 99% shameless cash-in on an existing franchise (and vice versa with poor video games based on movies & comics, etc.). The whole idea that "This will make money based on the name" instantly throws away any concern for quality. And the whole Uew Boll thing reeks of lame internet bandwagoning to me. I can't, for even one second, believe that anybody would care that a movie based on Alone in the Dark or House of the Dead was being made or would care that they were crap or not. Hell, even if somebody was excited at the thought of a video game movie the first couple of times hasn't learned by now that it's never going to be done right (whatever "right" is..) that's their own fault.
