Quick Question for those who have WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2006 for the PS 2

I just got the game today and I understand that I use the money I win in matches to buy legends or other things from the WWE Shop in the game but what do I do with the experience points I rack up from winning matches ? Can someone tell me what they are used for and where I go to use them ?

They are used in the Create a Wrestler part of the game.
