For anyone who has a DS lite
can anyone recommend a good silicone skin for the ds lite?
Im not looking for cases. Im looking something like what decal girl offers except a silicone one so I dont scratch any surface area.
also, is there any way to remove like hair line scratches from the ds lite?

This is my own view but I always thought putting skins / protective wraps on stuff was ridiculous. From the furniture that's covered in plastic to remote controls in a plastic case, none of it makes any sense. The covering, which is usually made of a cheaper material than the actual object, gets dirty and makes everything look really cheap. I've had my DS Lite for six months and don't see any scratches or anything on it (aside from a hinge crack, which a sticker wouldn't prevent).
I can understand needing to protect baseball cards or comic books, but not a DS Lite. You should get a case anyway, it will protect it more than a $1 sheet of cheap plastic.

I saw some skin-like covers at Target, but I didn't look closely at them because I'm not into that whole thing, either. Good luck to you if that's what you want to do, though.

Not the touch screen. i mean the actual case.
like i have a case already that i keep my ds lite in but its unprotective when i am playing it (i have a screen protector on it so thats the only thing thats protected when outside of the casing)
i need a rubber/silicone skin that i can place on my ds so its still protected when i take it out and play it outside of the heavy case that i bought for it.

I would just get one of those nintendo-made cases that allows you to keep the DS in the plastic holder-thing, while you play it.
It has a cut out for all the buttons, and even one for the stylus, power, etc.

I know a lot of people are apprehensive about www.fifthunit.com but I've ordered a few things from them with no issues, and the items were good.

^^ Specifically. Though their brutally honest review score may be a deterrant.

Those aren't Nintendo made cases. I have one and like it, but it's made by a third party and just licensed by Nintendo so they can use the logo.
I think ALS is the company that makes them. $9.99 at Target.
It is a bit awkward to play with it in the case though.
I couldn't give a shit less about the outside of the DS getting possibly scratched up though, as I'm not OCD.

you're probably right again about that, but it is part of the Switch and Carry series, so I guess its as "first party" as you are going to get.
The case is very similar to the case I got with the Brain Age DS lite bundle, which came with both brain ages, a zipper case, and that stylus. The difference between this one, and that other one is my zips shut, while hers uses a velcro strap, and has that plastic on the inside that the DS slips into while its open. Both of our DS lites are mint, and we've had them since they came out :/

well, I've always been anal with my gameboys since I got my first game boy advance, and all my screen never had a scratch.
Then again, i was playing march of the minis on a 10 year olds fat DS, and it looked like some one took a razorblade to the touch screen

This is not a silicon skin, but I like it quite a bit:

It is $10 from Circuit City.

I just received one of the shieldzone protectors. Located Here
I haven't installed it yet* I may wait and order one of the following...
(courtesy of kotaku) Full Case Mods that I might try out. The chrome one looks badass. Couple that with a matte black interior...
I'm not into modding but those may be worth it. I did do the original GBA light mod though which is still around and kicking (gave it to a friends kid).
*I did apply one to my cell phone and am impressed. Have one for the ipod as well that I have yet to apply.
