X-Men Legends Defective Disc (XBox)

Anyone having a problem getting their X-Men Legends disc to work in their XBox? I have gone through two already with no luck. I purchased mine at Target and then went to Media Play to see if I could get one from a different batch and the three they were selling had been returned.

I made sure my other games were still working to eliminate the possibility that it's my XBox that's having problems.

The screen goes to a kind of streaky snow and won't load at all. No error messages of any kind.

what tv is it on? Are you using component cables? The game goes to 720p if you have it enabled in the dashboard. If your tv doesnt accept 720p it will have a messed up picture. Tho you would still hear sound.

Can you check your video settings in the dashboard and see what it's set to?

My XBox is attached to a Mitsubishi widescreen television that does accept 720p using component cables. My video output settings for the XBox are 'Wide Screen' video mode, and 'Yes' to 480p, 720p and 1080i. Also, I hear no sound when trying to get the game to load.

I would still disable 480p, 720p and 1080i in dashboard to rule it out. It cant hurt to try. I heard of some issues with newer xbox's and some games (some had it with fable) .

All Mitsubishi TVs do not accept 720p video signals. Mitsu TVs only accept 1080i for high-def content. Check your manual, and confer with people in other message forums such as avsforum.com. They will all tell you the same thing.

Okay, thanks for pointing that out. But why would I not be hearing sound? What other games are 720p? I've never had a problem with any other XBox game before. Have I just never run across one before?

There aren't that many 720p games, is probably why. Only a handful.
