Those last 2 are actual in game shots? Thats quite an improvement.
I hated the gameplay of the first one though. I need a story and goals to get enjoyment out of a game.

This is why I'm buying Fable. Buy a house, get married, have kids, age, etc...but within the framework of a story that you play through at your own pace.

Looks like a marketing trend in the screenshots, or maybe those are just the one posted here.
I thought the first one was okay but I found it a little tedious. I didn't like having to keep a certain amount of friends and constantly keep up contacting them...almost like real life. I just liked buying stuff and building a bigger house.... oh well maybe I'll pick it up for the cleavage.

I wonder if there are any noticeable graphics quality difference between the CD-ROM and DVD version.

I very highly doubt it will be different graphic wise.. Dvd versions are mainly for people who hate changing discs during install and want it all on one package.. I've never seen a game's dvd version have better graphics or anything over the regular cd version

Yeah, i don't see why you would think the DVD version would have any differences in graphical quality. As far as i know, the only instances have been where a DVD version had better video quality, and that was quite awhile ago when DVD drives first started to arrive.

The only difference that I know of is one DVD instead of four CD-Rom. Plus the DVD version has some making of's, interviews and the like. But considering their the same price, I went for the DVD version.
Plus, c'mon what site are we at. How could we not go for the DVD version
For a pretty funny preview go here, there's four parts to it and they should be all there.

yeah i like dvd versions also myself.. I have the dvd version of UT2k4 and prefer them. But only difference is the extra special dvd. No changes in gameplay. A lot of people without dvd drives would be pissed if they got an inferior version to the dvd people just because they don't have a drive. Hardly worth the effort for the companies heh

The DVD version and CD version is the same price. Less discs, less discs to scratch, I'll take the DVD thank you very much.
And are you serious? Peoplw w/o DVD drives? Even Dell throws in a DVD burner for their most basic system! If you don't have a DVD drive by now, it's pretty obvious your system's too slow to handle Sims 2.

I just bought the DVD version of this game(double BB Reward Zone points!), but haven't played it yet. There's no way that my desktop could handle it and my new laptop is scheduled to be delivered on Monday. I just pray that the game will run on it (it should), otherwise it's back to the store and back to the Sims 1.
