Madden 2005 for PS2 price after a few weeks???

I typically don't buy games right when they come out but I'm excited for Madden 2005...What is typical pricing for games right when they come out vs what they will be on ebay... for example, if it is released with a $50 price, how much would it be on ebay after a few weeks (new only.. won't buy used video games)

NCAA 2005 will be $37.99 this week at Fry's so they might do the same with Madden 2005.

Hmmm Magic 8-Ball says "Answer unclear. Ask agin in mid-August".

If there's a Fry's near you, I wouldn't be suprised to see it go for $34.99 on the release date. They tend to do that with highly anticipated titles.

I don't know about the sports titles, but usually good prices can be had first week of release for a big title. Then it can be a while before price dropping. Madden of course will be a big seller, so I'd advise looking for the best deal on the release date. Somebody should either have a good price or a free gift card with purchase, etc.

On the other hand if a game is not a huge hit and doesn't take off right away prices can drop quickly. As stated this will not be the case with Madden.

Don't forget about the special edition, which will be more than $50 (I think I read $60), but it comes with some good stuff...

Fry's for some reason goes really crazy with the prices... sometimes just to be a few bucks lower than the lowest. For instance, they trumped this week's CC price for NCAA (10 dollar gift card) with a 37.99 price. And Spiderman 2 for PS2 was only 30 bucks.

I really wonder whether Madden will drop in price a little because of the threat of the twenty dollar ESPN this year...

Good question since EA will have a few week's to see how it sell's,my guess would be no but release it a bit early.
