What do you mean "descended like a mofo on the net!"
Yea, it's out. Some stores received it yesterday.. But today (10/15) was the official in-store date. I received mine earlier this afternoon. It's a simply amazing game.
If you liked the first, of course.

he means it's showing up in small Mexican villages such as Juarez, mexico.
Man, can a Max Payne 2 thread Not exist with either console wars or warez talks? sheesh.
come on O.D. make a thread that would actually stay alive.

Ahh, I thought he meant something like the game went off the radar and everyone forgot about it. But it Juarez terms, the game actually took awhile to come out.. amazing.
Oh, the packaging of the game is sweet. It's like the Magnolia/Pulp Fiction CE packaging.

I ran the game just fine with Athlon XP 1800+ (1.53ghz) 512MB DDR Ram, and my ol' trusy Geforce3. I had it at 1024x768 32bit, with everything on normal and a few set to high. Overall the game looks about the same as the first....slightly better textures etc, but nothing mind blowing. The physics on the other hand rule! If you liked Max Payne, get part 2.

FWIW, I only played Max Payne 1 on PS2 and even though it had some glitches and some frame-rate problems, I found it a lot of fun (although the ending was a bit anti-climactic). In the meantime I got a PC but it's not up to game spec. I'll probably get the new one for PS2 as well.

I have a decent rig (WinXP, Athlon XP 200+, 1GB PC2700 DDR, 200GB HD w/ 8MB cache), but I'm afraid my GF3 Ti200 just won't cut the mustard, so I'm going to get it for the Xbox instead.

For F#%$#'s sake O.D., there have already been plenty of Max Payne threads that have been closed for certain reasons. can't we just get one going without the threat of closing? yes you make it vauge in your first post but then you start mentioning what your little "hint hint, nudge nudge" comment ment and what program to use to download and you lead to trouble, not to mention you are admiting that you are getting pirated software.

Not a knock or anything against the PS2 since I once owned one, but this game was unbearable to play with those interminable load times between scenes, excessive slow down...No way. I'd say either buy it for the PC or Xbox (which I own). Maybe 2 will have the kinks worked out for the PS2. But those screen shots look amazing and if I had a new cpu, I'd pick it up instantly but I guess I can wait for a month or two for the xbox port.
