2 New Zelda games for Gamecube.. but..

..they're both multiplayer games, and only playable with the GBA link cable.

I hope they aren't sold seperately at least.

I LOVED Four Swords and was hoping for a GC version, but.. not like this..

No interest.

I don't play multiplayer very often, and don't have any friends with GBA's and the game is only controllable with GBAs (so to play 4 player you need 4 GBAs).

I know many more people than 4 with GBAs. However, 4 GC->GBA link cables is a WHOLE different story.

The way they're pushing this GC/GBA connectivity thing almost seems like a joke.

I mean... really, who cares?

So would this be considered a prequel to TLOZ:TWW, since we all know that...

I have no one to play these GBA connectivity games with for the most part, so although I think many of these games are interesting, I will most likely be missing out.

Both Gamecube/GBA games are awesome! I played both of them today and they seemed very cool. However, I can see why some of you might be mad because you need to have 4 GBAs and 4 Link cables. Oh well. Im sure they won't sell for more then $20.

I'm not interested either. Using the GBA/GC link cable to offer a couple of extra features is one thing, but requiring GBAs and link cables to play a multiplayer GAMECUBE game? They're really going overboard IMO. Don't they realize how much they're limiting their audience by requiring all this extra hardware just to play the game? I'll pass.

I'll actually probably get this (and a few more link cables). I have kids and it will be fun to play with them.

Please don't throw tomatoes at me...

yet another reason the GC will be dead soon. It's a shame, since I own one and everything. Every single decent game that comes out for it practically requires a stupid gameboy and cable etc.

If you honestly think this, you have not been following the industry very closely at all.

But this is why the Gamecube is cheaper than PS2 & Xbox! You save money on the system, but you have to buy a GBA and link cables. So it all evens out in the end!

Are you talking about games which are coming out? Or games which already came out?

I'm a bit confused if you're talking about older games, as I can't think of any which require the gameboy & cable. I know that Zelda & Metroid (for example) have hidden features which are can only be accessed through the gameboy link, but neither of those required the excess stuff.

As for future games, I haven't seen anything, but will Metroid Prime 2 require this? Mario Kart?

Yeah the other 200+ games require it too.

There's nothing wrong with this. These are new, must have games or anything.

There just little bonuses for people with GBA's and some friends with GBA's and link cables, and will likely sell for around $20.

It's not like this is a sequel to the Wind Waker or something. It's a quirky little multiplayer thing with extremely dated graphics.

They let people with the gba's and stuff have something neat to play and make use out of their hardware, and maybe sell a couple gba's and link cables here and their to die hard zelda fans.

You won't see any truly new games like Metroid Prime 2 or anything require a GBA and cable to play. The GBA will continue to be used for bonus featues in new games.
