Hidden Gems on GBA...

Man tons and tons of software are released on this thing... Of course we all know the big names... Metroid Fusion, Link, Mario, Wario, Advance Wars, Castlevania... But what about those hidden gems that go unnoticed...

List a few here that you've found and maybe we can spread the word on the good ones that others haven't discovered.

Tactics Ogre doesn't get enough credit. It's one of the finest games I've ever played. Plus it has over 40 hours of gameplay the first time through and plenty of reasons to play through at least once more.

Other than that I only have the big name games. I always see reviews for less well-known games I want to check out though. I think when the Cube connector comes out I'll be picking up a few more games.

This is the first game that came to mind. It was tough to find, but the best GBA I bought in 2002.

Advance Wars is the only GBA game I played for 6 months straight. It's just so simple, yet fun... great game

Is the Lufia on GBC good? I noticed the folks at pocketpool.ign.com haven't reviewed it.

Super Money Ball, Jr. It's the one game that I keep on playing. It's so much fun and perfect for a quick game when you're bored. I have no idea why it was not promoted more during the holiday season.

Both Crash Bandicoot games for me. It's good fun to beat it and insane to get a 100% complete game. I've always liked Crash games.

The extreme difficulty of this game makes it just fall short of perfect in my book. I did unlock all the extra stuff though.

Tiny Toon's Whacky Stackers is a good puzzle game that went unnoticed. Picked it up in the Bargain Bin at CompUSA over the Christmas Break.

Its a clone of Puyo Pop (which can also be found for around $10), but dressed up with the WB characters... anyway, it gets alot of play around here.

If you like games like Harvest Moon, you need to pick up Car Battler Joe from Natsume. Also, if you never got them for the GBC, get Legend of the River King 1 & 2. Quickly, but very enjoyable RPGs.

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Awesome diablo clone, that no one seems to have picked up. Well at least only one person replied to my thread asking if anyone else had checked it out, and he hadn't even played the game.

If you like the movie, and Diablo type games, pick this up.

Capcom's port of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo got delayed until March.

Anyway, I agree that both Puyo Pop and Columns Crown are fantastic puzzle games that are probably overlooked by many. People feeling nostalgic might want to pick up The Three Stooges as well. It's just a port of the NES version, but I still like it (though many don't). RPG lovers should get Lunar Legend if they've never played the series.

Advance Wars gets my vote too. It's the only game I had or needed for almost 5 months. I recently got Link (which is great too.). My other vote is for the NAMCO Museum. Great renditions of Ms. Pac Man, Dig Dug and Galaga for those of you old enough to remember the originals. All the sounds and music are just like I remember them.

Megaman Battle Network 2 was pretty good, kind of an strategy rpg but in real time. Its kinda different from the normal megaman games but its still fun.

I also liked Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland.
