LOTR The Two Towers GBA
Anyone else played this? I picked it up at Best Buy for $19.99 this afternoon.
I love the PS2 game, and this got a pretty decent review in EGM (7.5-8.0 if I'm rembering correctly).
I played for a couple hours and it's pretty neat. It's a shameless Diablo clone but that's not a bad thing.
You can play as Aragorn, Legalos, Gandalf, Frodo or Eowyn. I'm playing as Aragorn, haven't tried the other characters. I'm curious as to how they handle Eowyn, the first two areas (with Aragorn anyway) are the Pass of Carradrahs and Moria. Eowyn doesn't come in to the story until they go to Edoras. I'll try a new game with her later to see where you start.
Basically it's just a simple hack and slash. You level up and get 5 experience points to use in the normal categories (strength, defense, health, accuracy and courage), as well as an ability point to use to gain new abilities and make them more powerful.
The graphics are pretty decent for the GBA. There was actually some brief video clips from the movies when you start a new game that were of a surprisingly good quality.

Cool.
I was trying to decide between this and Super Monkey Ball Jr. but SMB won out because of replay value. I think I'll pick this up next year in anticipation of the film (ie play it in the theater while waiting for the movie to start... they open the doors early on wednesday night where I'm at so you can wait for the movie to start and not outside).
