I would never want to attempt Soul Calibur with the GCN controller so Xbox or PS2 version depending on which turns out better.

Well i have a PS2 and Xbox and let me tell you, im damn sure getting the Xbox version. Spawn looks bad ass!!! I'd love to play as him, sure his movie sucked, but his comics are great and his toys kick a$$! I think its pretty lame that the PS2 version gets Heihachi of all people. I mean, atleast give the people Jin, or perhaps a female from Tekken. Link looks sweet as well, ill be sure to get my nephew the GC version.

Im really not sure how to feel about this, I originally wanted all three versions but I want to see how these "extra" characters handle first. Im importing this on my Cube and I dont forsee a problem using the standard pad.

I guess I just don't see the allure of playing as Link. When I play a fighting game, I want violence, I want evil, etc.

Now THAT would've been fun. I was going to suggest Lara Croft, which would have been cool as well. It's not like we've never had a chance to fight as Heiachi before.

Still, let's not make too big a deal about it. It's just one extra character (and maybe a bonus character anyway). Let's see how the game is, how it looks and plays. If it was designed on the PS2 board, it might be best on the PS2 (like NFS : HP2 was). It's not always the most advanced system that produces the best game, we've already seen Namco produce a better fighter on the DC (Soul Calibur) than on the PS2 (Tekken Tag).

Well the problem comes in with the extra characters if they are well balanced. Look at link for a moment. He has the basic slashes and so forth. Reminds me of sophia with a shield and sword. Now he also has arrows and he also has a bomb and boomerang. Weapons.. seems like he is a bit over powerful and will dominate if you ask me.

I'm definitely getting the GameCube version of this. Link was an awesome choice. Spawn would be cool to play as well. Can't wait for this.
