Stupid Buffy question

When does the game occur, season-wise? I already had someone in the main forum spoil a later season for me by saying there is
Spoiler:
an evil Willow
at some point. Will anything in the game ruin future seasons?

I read once that this is supposed to fit into the third season. It take place when the characters are still in high school, so it can't be any later. I haven't had time to play any more than the first two levels, so I can't be more specific. Any appearances by Angel, Spike, & Dru would help narrow it down.

I don't know my seasons well, but it makes mention of Oz being away - Willow is apparently still dating him. Cordelia and Xander are also dating.

If you've made it through season 2 you should be fine. I don't think their's anything from season 3 in there but it's been a while since I played the game.

I'm glad they set when they did, since I lost interest in the show once they spun off "Angel." Season 3 was easily the best, so this worked great.

I've had the game since it came out and only recently passed it. Not because it was long, but some stages are so unforgiving that it made me give up for a few weeks. Glad I finally beat it.

I got in on the EB deal and am really enjoying the game.

There needs to be a sequel.

yeah, this is easily one of my favorite games ever. I have always loved the show, though season 3 was the best oh and all the episodes with faith. She is my favorite character.

shuki, I have not found anything about playing multiplayer story mode. Would this be just a co-op game you are talking about? If so, please tell me the code so my son and I can kick vampire butt together.

Fighting the vampires NEVER gets old. I will totally play through this game again and again. It's just so freaking cool.

I booted one through a window the other day. It was just like something out of the TV show.

How's the ending? Do you get anything after you beat the game?

that's me exactly!! I'm on the last level (in the crazy zone) and have not picked it up for about 3 weeks. Its those stupid timed jumps with flipping platforms etc that keeps killing me!! grrr I will finish it though!!

but when/if you answer skull's question, please use spoilers if there is such a thing.. not about what it unlocks (if anything) and such just as to any in game spoilers. I mean a guy has to have some sort of incentive to keep jumping, dieing and starting over again

and s}{ammer, you get the info you needed? if so, how is it /me doesn't have anyone to try and play it 2 player story mode with but loves to imagine how fun it would be

If you love the show, you should love the game.

It has one of the best fighting engines I've ever seen outside of a "straight" fighting game (and better than a lot of those, too.)

You just FEEL like you are kicking ass all over the place.

Yeah, this game is loads of fun, especially if you are a fan of the show. My only complaint is that they should have had more of a variety of lesser vamps to fight.

Really? I can think of about 10 different variations of vampires, and at least 2 Uber-type vamps. Most with individual moves and voices. Not to mention the various demons and other baddies you fight.
