Just got the last one here. It was opened by the store, but everything looked mint condition to me. I certainly won't complain for the price.

It looks like it may be safe to say that if any of us find this, we should buy extra copies, as there seem to be people people here that can't find it in stock.

Is this a fair assumption? If I find another copy or two at my local EBs does anyone here want one for $9.99 plus tax and shipping?

  • Do EB stores have flyers with their specials, etc.?
  • And, do BestBuy / CC ever price match EB prices?

    Thanks!
  • Most Best Buys dont consider EB a competitor so they wont pricematch. Not sure about CC.

Thanks. I bought it at Sears for $24.99 about a month ago. I went back and they adjusted the price plus gave me 10% for the diff. Finally ended up getting it for $7.99.

Thanks for the head up. I got the last one from the store nearby.
I'm very satisfied for the game and its price.

Chicagoans: The EB Games in Arlington Heights (on the south side of Algonquin, west of Golf) had several copies in stock (at least 5) as of last night. For some reason their location isn't in their website when I did a store locator.

I bought a used copy about 2 weeks ago for 23.00. Can I return that copy and get a new 1 and use the extra $ for something else? I'm not sure how they work returns/exchanges since since this was my 1st purchase there.

I just called all the EBs in the Chicago area. They're all back up to full price.

If anyone has an extra they'd be willing to sell feel free to email me. [email protected]

    Thanks for the original post.

I went to CC this afternoon and pricematched it. Got it for $7.99 plus tax. Not bad!

My experience: I brought a receipt into Sears and they confirmed it by calling EB. They then matched it and gave 10% diff.

That is the best deal since the golden days of this forum. On a good game too. Eight freakin bucks! I paid ~$45 and think its worth it.

I wouldn't believe that statement until I see an employee physically scan the item. Most of the ones I spoke to didn't even know it was on sale in the first place.

i was in an EB yesterday night and they scanned buffy and said it was 25. If anyone is still getting the 9.99 price, let me know so I can try another EB.

I'm not too surprised to see the price go back up. The employee that sold me my copy predicted "These are selling so well they'll probably raise the price back up again."

Deal might be dead now, but I just told them that EB had it for $9.99 and gave the clerk at CC the phone number to call and verify the price.

Weird, perhaps they raised the price of Buffy back to $25? I bought Buffy at an EB in Queens and it was $10, that was Sunday.
