Help with Tony Hawk lingo...

I know nothing of skate boarding or the lingo, but I try to get by. I'm playing TH3 on the GC and am just learning. I know how to grind, and more importantly I know what it is. But what the hell is a manual? I haven't done it, nor do I know how.

keeping the front 2 wheels of the skateboard in the air while the back two are in the ground. This is done for a while like a balancing act. You do it by pressing up then down.

Or keeping the back to wheels in the air, opposite from what GP said. Then it's called a nose manual.

P.S. I went to one of our local skateparks today (Olathe, KS) and saw a guy do a 1-footed manual throughout the length of the park (about 100 yards). It was very cool.

The manual is essential in Tony Hawk 3 and 4. Have you gotten the revert down too? You'll need to pair that with your manual to play the game for real (or at least get some real scores).

If you do the tutorial, it will cover the manual as well as revert.

The manual is that book that comes with the game and explains how to play.

Thanks. I don't have the revert down yet, so apparently I need to spend some time in tutorial. Just started playing, so I am still new. How the hell do I soak the foreman?

Grind the rail that has the control panel on it. It is on the platform overlooking the pool.
