Desperate for help on PS2 adapter hook-up
Finally decided to get the PS2 Adapter, but I've had a terrible time hooking it up. I've tried using the Demo disk with Madden or Frequency and also with Socom, but I can never connect. I test my connection and it says I'm online, but I can never get to any servers
My set-up goes as follows: Cable Modem - Linsys Wireless Router-Ethernet Bridge-PS2
Anyone who can help, please do so. If you can point me in the right direction, or tell me where to get info that would help. I've done some researching on my own, but nothing has worked. I've tried port forwarding, enabling/disabling DHCP, etc...
Help Me Please!

does it work if you bypass the router and plug it right into the cable modem?

its probably blocked ports in your router:
from EA Tech Support site:
If you are having difficulty connecting to the Madden NFL 2003 Playstation 2 online server, there are three main things to check.
1. Check to make sure the PS2 network adapter has been configured correctly. The adapter should have instructions you can go through to make sure it has been set up properly. You may need to contact Sony support if you are unsure about the setup process.
2. Make sure you have registered the online adapter with Sony. Again, this is something you can do by contacting Sony support.
3. Check to see if you are connecting to the internet from behind a firewall, or if your ISP blocks any ports. The following ports need to be open to be able to connect:
TCP 9995/9996 outgoing to connect to the lobby server.
UDP 1791/1792 incoming/outgoing for head-to-head play.

There must be a setting in the router that I have to do, but I haven't figured it out yet.

another option is to enable DMZ hosting but that would open all ports when you really only need a few of them opened.
