What are some good PS2 games for a 10 year old?

Well my little cousin wants some PS2 games for XMAS. I really don't play too many games so I don't know what is popular and wanted by him. I don't want to get him an extremely bad game, but something that would be good for him. Any advice on which ones?

Your best bet would be to stick with some of the "Greatest Hits" titles that are priced at $19.99 or cheaper. You might want to find out what games he already has or what he might be looking for.

Maybe SSX or SSX Tricky? They're fun snowboarding games. SSX is a "Greatest Hits" title... never played it, though. SSX Tricky is a BLAST. No extreme violence (you can hit people if you're near them, but that's about it), no sex (maybe a fully-clothed video-game character in a seductive pose, but that's it), no swearing. Jak and Daxter is a Greatest Hits title as well, and apparently it's one of the best platform ("jump from platform to platform") games, along with Ratchet and Clank.

Everything Tigger listed - and I also want to add a current one I've been playing a lot of: Need For Speed: Hot Persuit 2. It's the best racer on the PS2 that's not too realistic.

Get him NBA Street,its loads of fun,easy to get into and 2 players can play and its a greatest hits($20.00).
