XBOX serious Sam 21.92 Delivered
Saw a post on "other bargains" for KB Toy for 19.99 and found this online. I haven't ordered from playcentric since the dreamcast days. I would have looked for other XBOX bargains but there search feature stinks. Thought this would be good for laughs.

So, who has actually played the game for XBOX????? I was curious about picking it up because it supports System Link (supposedly). It looks like a poor mans Duke Nukem. I'm curious how the multiplayer is and the controls on the game?????
For $20, could be worth a shot
Thanks

The game was really fun on the PC, and I hear that it is still better on the PC. Considering it can be found for about $15 on the PC, I'd choose that if you had the option.

But Serious Sam on the Xbox contains both Serious Sam and Serious Sam: Second Encounter for the PC. I just bought SS for Xbox for $19.99 at Kaybee Toys, I think it is cheap when you get both the original and the sequels.
It also has a 2 player co-op mode to tackle the missions. I can't wait to play it!

Uhhh... I was about to order from them rather than drive to KB Toys, then when I went to checkout I noticed that there were already address, telephone and password information filled in, which belongs to some poor dude from South Carolina. If they're this careless with his information...

Yeah, my information was already filled in as well from a South Carolina guy. Oh well, looks like "Mr. Strom Thurmond" just bought me 100 copies of Serious Sam!

Don't use that link. I tried to email el_jer to change it, but his email is private. I emailed the mods to remove it.
This link won't have that problem:

Oh my god....that guy could get really screwed. Not only that but when I added SS to my cart, it already had about $400 worth of stuff (and I've never even been to that site). Bad Bad Bad security. Scary.
Did that info get included with the link that was posted?

Ok well thanks for the heart attack. Try to do a good deed and look what happens. I saw this about 6 hours after I placed my order. I was scared to look at my credit card account. Fortunately it looks like no orders were placed. What the heck is the deal with that security?
I appreciate those who alerted the mod and myself.

I've always wondered why the Peanut Gallery is always there to chime in on their opinion of a game which they've never played. "I heard it sucked." "I hear the PC version is better." "It has a bad reputation." If people judged games solely on innuendo, the video game business as a whole would crash. Fortunately there are still gamers out there who realize these opinions are worthless and look towards someone who...oh I dunno, has PLAYED the game.
Speaking of....
Serious Sam XBox is a fine game, and a steal at $20. It's got the 1st and 2nd Encounters from the PC versions plus some added Duke Nukem-like cutscenes and one-liners and other miscellaneous goodies. It supports 4-player split-screen, System Link, incredible 5.1 sound (the kamikaze bomb guys will have you spinning like a loon when you hear their screams), 2-player co-op split-screen OR system link, and for the most part, runs like a dream.
For $50, I'd have a hard time recommending it when the PC ones can be had for $20-$30 and support online play (of course, so does the XB version in a roundabout way). But for $20, if you want a Duke Nukem-style adrenaline rush of action (meaning you VS dozens of enemies at any given time, unlike the Tournament-style shooters of the past few years) with a ton of levels (including some hilariously trippy 2nd Encounter levels), I say go for it.
Oh, and by the way...I hear that Halo 2 will be better on the PC and Zelda GC is the worst game ever made, so do please try and avoid those.

It is a damn fun game to blow off some steam to. The kamikazee guys in 5.1 is hilarious.

Well, it looks like this is a price reduction across the board for all retailers. Best Buy also had it today for $19.99.
The great thing is that you can now apply the $5 off coupon and pick the game up for only $15. Definitely worth that much!

At bestbuy.com (use the DVDTalk link at the top of the page) it's $19.99 and FREE SHIPPING.
This is great for XBox owners who have one of those $5 Goldmember pre-order coupons lying around, like I did a few minutes ago

You can go to the B&M in person and get one of those green Gamer's Gift cards with a $5 coupon on the back. Other $5 coupons sometimes appear in game magazines. Neither of these will work on web orders though.
