I don't see why you'd need a specific 50-50 breakdown of AFC and NFC. The only sport that's a problem along these lines is baseball, where mixing a National League team into the AL (or vice versa) is a problem because of the DH.
Basketball, football, hockey... it doesn't matter; everybody's playing under the same rules. Although it's nice to create the same divisions with the same rivalries as in real life, once the season starts, any league rivalries will develop organically between owners.
Take at look at the basketball league I'm in this year to see that the teams are totally jumbled from reality, but it matters not one bit. http://www.atrl.cjb.net/

OK. I'm set up. My Live tag is Tugar (my son's nickname). Couldn't think of anything else since Deapool was taken. Went online and lost 2 games of NFL2K3 with my suckee Redskins. I was close in both of them tho'. Once against the Steelers and one to the Jets. Final scores were 17-14 & 31-20 (well it was close until someone decided to try and run up the score). I have to work on my pass coverage. Everytime I got a pick I got called for PI

Alright, hate to throw a wrench in the works here, cus I would like to get started ASAP, but....
Are they doing roster updates? I thought they were going to have roster updates in January? How should we deal with this? Should it be a factor? Will the Riddler get away? Can Robin escape? Tune in tomorrow for these answers...same bat time....same bat channel.

Ackdog is the only guy to not send me a list and by the looks of it he is out of town. Soooo...
It's looking like I won't have to randomly assign conference placement, since ackdog will be the wildcard and will even out the distribution. In other words I'll only have to randomize draft order, and throw ackdog into the conference with the fewer teams to even things out.
By the looks of it at least 10 teams will get their first choice.

11 Titans (assigned to AFC by default)
1 Bears

8 Colts
3 Patriots
So it turned out that 10 out of the 13 lists got their top choice. Not bad.
