Yeah - I got an nVidia t-shirt that had S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on the back, but I don't know where it is now. Prolly wouldn't ever wear it again.

Is this coming out on Xbox? I swear I saw this in an Xbox magazine somewhere, but I could be wrong.

It's being developed for PC, but awhile back they were considering bringing it to xbox... I think they were just trying to negotiate with a publisher though. I don't think they have done any work on an xbox version - so if this is to come out on xbox, it won't be for awhile after the PC version I think. That's all just speculation though, so take it for what it's worth.

They promised Multiplayer CO-OP on this one. As in you play the whole game co-op a la Halo. If they pull that off, and barring any major bugs, this would qualify as a full price must-buy for me. Haven't seen ANY other game in ages where I could say that.

According to Gamespot, this game has an August 14, 2004, release date. Take that for what it's worth, though, as games are never released on schedule (for justifiable reasons).

I hadn't heard about the name change... can't say I like the new one as much, but I don't hate it either.

Hey - there's a new April video showing gameplay and in-engine cut scenes. It can be found at Fileplanet and the usual places. It looks like they've put more action in it... I hope they don't change the game too much from what the original plan was.

So is anyone playing/played this game? I just got it yesterday and I think I may really like it. Makes me think of Far Cry when I play it but even more open game play. Thoughts on the game for those that have it?

I believe another, less antique thread has been made.

The title makes me laugh now that Oblivion and Lost are established series.

Could you link it for me? Unless it is buried in another FPS thread, I come up with only this thread strictly about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. when I searched both "Stalker" and "Chernobyl" in the VG forum.

My big complaint right now is lack of instructions in the game on what your items do for you. I wasn't paying attention and quick saved right before I died from radiation b/c I wasn't doing something right. What made it worse was this was after I installed the patch which made my previous saved games not work. Bottom line is I have started over 3 times, but still fun so far.

Sorry about resurrecting an antique, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky (prequel) will be coming to Steam August 29th - here's a video link of the DX10 tech demo.

I'm looking forward to Clear Sky. I enjoyed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. From what I've read, it looks like they are doing more with the diffrerent factions this time. Sounds cool.

I picked up S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl for $7.99 at Target (clearance shelf) a few months ago not knowing anything about it. Turned out to be a fabulous deal.

I bought the game in release date. Started it, and just played it for a couple of days. And that's it
I need to go back to playing in my PC.
