All Im saying is the trailer (at least on my computer) looks grainy, and to truly appreciate how the game flows it needs to be played.

I'm sorry you misunderstood me. I wasn't responding to your reply zero. I was wondering why everyone was getting excited over this commercial when all of this footage was previously released. I have no doubt that the game will look better when I get to play it on my tv at home. Don't think I'm bashing Zelda because I am a big fan of the series and will definitely purchase this on release day. I was just wondering what everyone was gushing about since it wasn't new footage.

I'm actually not too fond of this new art style for Zelda. But I'm sure that won't be too much of a problem for me once I get into the story and gameplay.

I take it you've never seen the art in the manuals for the first 2 games then.

The graphical style is certainly new to the series. And I'm not all that fond of it, although it won't have any bearing on whether or not I get the game.

actually i don't really like it. the game is awesome but there was not really any new footage. the comercial just doesn't do it for me. Now the E3 footage....that has me salivating more than Pavlov's dog.

This is certainly a new art style for the game. (I don't care about the art styles in the manuals as I don't play with them)

If this game is anywhere UNLIKE the N64 games, I am so picking up a gamecube.

May be the best game ever made as far as gameplay but as of now it just looks too odd for me to pick up and play. I always liked Zelda but was never really into the series.
I know story can make up for the visuals but for me it's a total package. I need a nice even mix in a game.
I'm sure it'll sell like mad and others with like it. That's what matters.

I pre-ordered this game last week(IGN was doing one of their free overnight shipping deals).. can't wait.. I was never really into zelda games before.. I don't know why. I never played the ones on the NES or Link to the Past.. or even Ocarina of Time(even though I've owned all 3 systems at one point or another). Somehow I missed them. But I've caught up thanks to.. uh..let's just say.. the internet. great games.
I really like the cel-shaded style of the game.. and it's sounding like the gameplay will be great as well.
I don't really like the movie trailer that was just released though... dunno.. just doesn't do it for me.

Which is fine by me. The Ocarina of Time is my favorite Zelda game and one of my favorite games of all time. I loved Majora's Mask, but the time travel element kept me from liking it quite as much as you often had to do stuff over because of it.
