Can anyone share experience regarding the PAL-NTSC converion quality? Can it handle
Anamorphic PAL DVDs without stretching them?

Does anyone know how the Xbox PAL conversion would compare to the more expensive Malata?

Perfect. I've read multiple reports that say the PAL->NTSC conversion with anamorphic discs on 4:3 TVs is perfect.

Yes, everything is still working fine. No problems with Xbox Live either.

Well, finally took the plunge and plugged the R2 dongle in...works like a charm! Checked out the games and they work great too.

I already have a R1 dongle so I can't get the R2 one, right? What if I were to format my HDD?

If you haven't plugged your R1 dongle into the X-Box it would be OK, but once you have, the region is set. I think if you could figure out a way to format your HDD, it should reset the region (at least that's what happened with my home PC). I'm not sure how you would go about formatting an X-Box HDD, but if you haven't got anything on there that you really want...I'd say give it a try.
