This is not even a rumor yet but let's try to make Nintendo make the third of the series or at least a remake.

I still have my NES version... and a sealed copy of the sequel I picked up recently.

sequels to NES games that never got the SNES treatment would be nice.

AHHHHHH! You have no idea how happy I was when I read the dang subject header, making me thing that this was on the way!

ST is still one of my favorite games ever (Zora's Revenge was a LITTLE lacking), and would go berserk if they would make another dang sequel!

Yeah me too.

Star Tropics rocked! The music was pretty sweet and the gameplay was a cool mix of rpg overland with action dungeon areas. I remember renting the game when it came out and I was stuck at that part where you have to enter the code into the submarine. If you played the game you know exactly where the code is and what you have to do to get it. I did eventually figure it out with some help .

A GC sequel would definitely make my day, I also heard they're making a Ninja Gaiden game for the GC from another thread (its also listed on cube ign). Cool!

Great game. But one question to those that have Smash Bros. Melee. Is there a Star Tropics trophy of any kind? I'm up to 178 trophies and I've yet to see any. If not that'll probably give you an idea of how high Nintendo thinks of this past franchise.

The first time I played it, I did the little "soak the map in water" thing, and just always remembered it was 747 since that's a type of airplane. Weird.

lol, yeah I remember it forever because I didn't get the instruction book, maps, etc., when I rented the game. The thing is, I didnt know they meant "LITERALLY" put the map into water, as in to do it in real life I kept trying to find an item in the game that you have to dip in water . I called up my friend who bought it later and he told me the code and why I couldn't get it.

That was a pretty original idea especially for its time. I wish more games today did stuff like that. If they do make a new Star Tropics they should make stuff like that. It should come with a whole box of stuff that you have to do for clues, like burn this letter, or mix these two chemicals and the color is the password. That'd be awesome!
