Help - Need to know VG => movies/tv
Hi, as some of may read a thread earlier, I'm doing a lengthy report on video games. One component is where games have spread beyond the console and to other formats (like tv and film).
I'm trying to think of everything that has been turned into a movie or cartoon...anyone help?
(Also, restricted to console gaming)
I've come up with thus far:
Mortal Kombat (2 movies)
Street Fighter (animated film and movie)
Final Fantasy
Sonic (animated cartoon)
Mario (awful movie and cartoon)
Link (cartoon)
Pokemon (cartoon, animated movies)
Also, I need to mention some of the better things that got turned into well-sold video games..(also, where could I find stats of that?)
Some I came up with at the top of my head:
Revolution X (Aerosmith)
Aladdin
Lion King
Cool Spot
Mickey (all of them)
Donald
Star Wars
James Bond
Spider-Man
X-men
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

-Captain N- which featured Simon Belmont, Mega Man, and others.
-Dragon Warrior- It was a syndicated cartoon back in the early 90's. Not sure if it was anime, but it did feature a Japanese style.
-Battletoads- An animated pilot was produced but never was picked up. Aired on Fox as a Thanksgiving special.
-Double Dragon- God awful cartoon and movie.
-Tron
-Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong Country- early 80's cartoons that aired on "Saturday Supercade" and straight to video computer animated movie for Country.
-Dragon's Lair
-Q-Bert- aired on "Saturday Supercade".
-Pac-Man- aired on "Saturday Supercade" before getting his own show.
-Tomb Raider
-Darkstalkers- syndicated cartoon
-Space Ace- 2nd season replacement for "Saturday Supercade".
-Frogger- "Saturday Supercade"
There was also a syndicated cartoon that was a ripoff of Captain N but featured only Acclaim charaters. Can't remember the name offhand but it featured the guy from Wizards and Warriors, the guy from S.W.A.T., the Bigfoot monster truck, a basketball player from Arch Rivals, and a tomato guy from a Gameboy puzzle game.
There's also a ton of game based anime:
Street Fighter: Alpha(movie) and Street Fighter II: V(series)
Fatal Fury(a couple of movies and an OVA)
Powerstone
Virtua Fighter
Tekken
Art of Fighting
Rock Man(Mega Man)
Arc the Lad
Battle Arena Toshinden
Monster Rancher
Final Fantasy

Thank you, I was completely unaware of a Mega Man tv series.
It would have also been really bad to forget about the Tomb Raider movie since it JUST came out.
Thanks for everyones help.
